A great item to help in doing siding by yourself. My only problem is that there is no clear instructions on how to properly use the product. I put the board on the dip and then screwed them in but this made it hard to remove the bracket after putting in the screws.UPDATE: Video on how to properly use these to help minimize the slip and the item being stuck behind the siding: https://www.amazon.com/Siding-Installation-Stainless-16-Inch-Cement/dp/B0CXJ3SVV1?ref_=ast_sto_dpSomething I wish i saw before hand. Also note the items do not stay as simple as it appears in video and pictures, as mentioned by other reviewer.

The tool was very handy in a one-person siding replacement project. Did the job very well and did not cost as much as some other "premium" brands.

I purchased this set hoping it would be a help to my siding replacement on our home.I tried to do some research on how this tool is used. How does it secured to the siding below? What do you rest your next siding piece on? How do you remove the brackets after you fasten the siding? I found little in reviews but went ahead and purchased it.So far, I have found this tool to be one of the most frustrating products I have ever tried to use.The bracket just hangs on to the siding below as if by a fingernail. The slightest tap in the wrong direction and it comes off and falls off. I found myself setting it up on a ladder, going down to get my siding piece, raising it past one bracket but hitting the second..... back down the ladder to pick up the bracket and start the process all over again. If you are going to work alone, you need a bracket that stays clamped to the siding below until you are ready to remove it. This is not it.I would send it back but the product came in an unlabeled plastic bag with other items I purchased from Amazon and it is now over 30 days past my purchase.Save your money and buy something that works.
