Always used following the instruction manual, knowing it was a 'coated' finish on the product. One year later, and my paint is also starting to crack and peel. Hario shouldn't sell this version anymore.

I've also experienced paint peeling from the black metal Hario V60 coffee dripper. Your better off going with the clear plastic or ceramic units. I do enjoy the dripper and have two. Unfortunately, the coating on this particular device isn't holding up after 8 months.

Avoid this scam. After a few months of use the black paint began to peel off. Do not waste your money on this poorly designed product. How did Hario let this go to market with such an obvious flaw?

I think that people have been convinced that metal drippers are inadequate, when in fact they are just as good as ceramic brewers which unsurprisingly also have terrible heat retention. As long as you preheat your brewer it is fine, honestly either way it is fine, the more important factor is bypass for your coffee. The 3 minutes of heat transfer from the water to brewer to room temp air affect taste but it is not as impactful as you may believe and I actually quite like it. I’m comparing this to a suiren, an origami m and an origami air s. They all produce different coffee in my opinion. V60’s are prone to clogging due to low bypass, I have a df83v so the fine production is real, this brewer does frequently clog for me. Rather than producing the iconic bright cup I find it producing a round cup, which I like, but prefer the origami. I have a k-max but I havent pulled it out of storage since moving. At the end of the day I wanted a brewer I could take camping and this will most definitely be capable of that as an all metal brewer. It is a rinse only brewer btw because of the powder coating.

The paint is peeling off the brewer roughly two months after purchase. That makes it unsafe to use and a total waste of money. I expect far better from a brand like Hario. The inside of the dripper should not have powdercoat paint in it at all. Do NOT purchase.

I am used to brewing in flat bottom drippers but this is a lot cleaner and not to mention the smaller bottom makes it easier to fit in all mugs. I love making Japanese iced coffee in a mason jar with this brewer. 10/10

My wife and I have been using several different drippers since we started fetishizing our morning coffee, from flat bottomed, one hole, three hole, gradual slope, steep, and different materials. I have a ceramic Hario v60 at work, and we alternate between this new metal Hario v60 and the Fellow Stagg XF dripper at home, depending on how much time we have before work. This v60 is my favorite of all our trials - the level of control it gives over extraction speed, the evenness of the extraction, ease of use and cleaning, indestructibility, portability, and simple beauty - it won me over. It’s a good height for the banana leaf stem fiber v60 #2 filters we like, and there’s enough space in the dripper for me to make two 12oz cups for us both. It is also so lightweight and sturdy I could easily see taking this in overnight or long haul backpacking trips. Highly recommend this v60 dripper!

ガラス製のV60を使用していたが、ベース部分に欠けが発生したのでこちらに買い替えしました。メタル製の特性を生かすため、ペーパーリンスをするのですが、心なしか以前のガラス製よりもペーパーを密着させるのがむつかしいような気がします。逆に深煎りが好きで、リンスをしないのであれば安価なガラス製などが良いのではないかと思います。
