I use these for Nigerian dwarf goats so they do not waste alfalfa. They would be fine for regular sized goats and sheep. They also are good for horses that need to slow down their eating. Some hay bags are risky to goats due to mesh, but these bags do not use mesh. I have had no problems. A bonus is the material is sturdy and waterproof. My hay stays dry.

This hay bag works better than another I had tried which allowed the goats to pull hay out and onto the ground from the top and the large feeding hole. The top of this bag closes tightly keeping out rain and goats, and the smaller holes reduces the amount of hay that is wasted.

I wanted to give this bag a few weeks use with my 5 nigerian dwarf goats before doing a review. Without a doubt it’s absolutely wonderful. Wish I had searched for something like this tons of wasted hay ago. The small holes are perfect for slowing down greedy, wasteful mouths. Loved the draw string at the top of the bag to discourage feeding from the wrong end. Strong hanging strap and made from durable materials. If you own goats don’t wait, just buy it…now.

Tougher then other bags I have tried for slow feed.

This hay bag is made to hold a lot of hay. I love that the top can be completely closed. Both of my horses like to circumvent the slow feeding by sticking their heads in the tops of their hay bags to get larger mouthfuls. Having a bag that closes on the top stops them from doing so, so the hay lasts longer. It does look nice as well and is really easy to clean. That being said, I would have liked for the feeding holes to have been slightly smaller and slow the feeding even more. Horses get bored when they run out of food, and mine being young can get themselves into trouble pretty quickly. This is not a design fault; it is simply a personal preference. Overall, I like this hay bag.

I use this for my 3 Nigerian dwarf goats. Can fit about 3 flakes in it. Hang it on a fence lasts all week for smacking between their normal feedings. Big and sturdy.

I have a horse that likes to put a foot through hay bags so I was looking for something that was large capacity and had small holes. These bags barely hold a flake of hay and the holes were ripped up in less than a week. For the price I really hoped for more. I have 3 horses and purchased 3. All 3 looked terrible after a week. Wouldn’t recommend unless you were feeding like a mini or goat 🤷♀️ def not for horses

I thought this was a great idea but my horses destroyed 2 bags in 2 days! They tore the trim around openings by the second day, I might try sewing a tougher material and see if I can make it last.

Very sturdy, well made. It has worked well for my goats. Holds a good amount of hay. I like the metal rings for hanging it. Great product!
