Was having an issue with AC not being cold at idle and temps rising on inclines. Also noisy engagement. After replacement, AC blows cold at idle and temps stay under 200 on inclines. Engagement click is back to normal too.

This Hayden product is an excellent OEM replacement for my 2005 Dodge 2500. I first opted for an OAW fan clutch. The OAW brand never worked right and finally completely failed. Go with Hayden or OEM.

Worked out great on my 06 cummins. Worst part of the job is getting the old one off.

Works perfectly. AC is nice cool again and engine has cooled down a bit. No problems on the install. Highly recommend. 06 5.9

Original review: Installed yesterday on my 2005 Dodge Ram 3550 with Cummins 5.9 diesel engine. After much research, I chose the Hayden 3282 fan clutch as it seemed to have favorable reviews and was less than half the price of the OEM part. Compared the two side by side and it looks like an exact replacement part. Unfortunately, fan clutches are a common replacement item on these trucks. The OEM part is prohibitively expensive and some of the aftermarket parts have spotty reliability records at best, so shop carefully. Not a hard job to replace the fan clutch with with common tools. Check out Youtube for the repair procedure. Mine proved to be a bit more difficult (original part had been on for 14 years and was rusted on tight.) My mechanic used an air hammer with a 36 mm fan clutch wrench attachment to remove the original part. After that, it was smooth sailing and the whole repair took about 1 hour. Started the truck, kicked on the AC and revved the engine. Fan clutch engaged immediately and has been working well since. Just in time since we're experiencing 100 degree days here. Can't speak to long term reliability yet but will try to report if anything goes wrong.Updated Review: Downgraded to 1 star. This fan clutch failed in October 2020, just over a year after installation. It's leaking and leaving puddles of viscous oil on my garage floor. I contacted Hayden through their support website but never got an answer. I'm back on the hunt for a reliable fan clutch. I may just switch to a mechanical or electric fan a this point. If anyone at Hayden is reading these review - please reach out to me.

Don't buy this!! Noisy. Poor gas mileage. Quit working.I bought this as a cheap substitute for my '07 Dodge 3500. It made "whirring" noise, lessened mileage and made my truck run rough. It eventually Locked in operation. Trash. Garbage.
