Didn’t realize how bad our previous panel was until we got this one. Super easy to install and can now see everything again!

Easy to install the plate, however, it was not clear to me that the control board was a separate purchase. After installation of the control board bought afterwards, everything is back to normal.

I bought the plastic outer panel and the Hayward display board that was showing the CE error message and another part (Hayward FDXLICB1930 FD Integrated Control Board Replacement Kit for Select H-Series Pool Heater) which I didn’t need $185.00. All I can tell you is it took me 10 minuets and that includes the time walking to the fridge to grab a beer. Great vendor, great service, fair price and I’m up and running. Thank you to the previous buyers with their posts, pictures and advice. Turn the power off, take a few pictures but it’s very simple. I hope this helps

Arrived on time. Inatalled in less then 5 minutes. Steps were:Turn power off to unitRemove cover by taking out 4 phillips head screwsRemove circuit board from cover by taking out 2 phillips head screwsDisconnect the ribbon connector from coverTo install reverse removal procedureA couple of notes, if you need a.circuit board ( I did not) it is sold separatelyThe cover comes with the gasket already installed so don't order one. My only complaint is that at $54 it ia a pretty expensive piece of plastic

The keypad on my Dad's pool heater went out. The repair guy quoted an outrageous amount for the part from his central office. He was a good guy and suggested I do it myself and gave me a few tips.It can be a challenge to figure out which Amazon part matches the Hayward part sheet. I can confirm that this is in fact "29 FDXLBKP1930 Bezel and Keypad Assembly, Taupe". It is also a little unclear what you are getting. This is the keypad that attaches to the "28 IDXL2DB1930 Display Board Only" via two screws and a ribbon cable. In my case it was very easy to unscrew the display board, disconnect the ribbon cable, discard the old keypad, connect the ribbon cable to the new keypad and reattach the existing display board to the new keypad. The keypad comes with a fresh rubber gasket. I had to push it around a bit to get the holes in the gasket properly aligned with the holes in the keypad bezel. I had to use a lot of thumb pressure to line up the holes on the keypad and the heater housing while trying to screw in the retaining screws at the same time. Nothing cracked or warped and the new pad worked like a charm when I tried it.

This keypad assembly was a replacement for one on our pool heater that had problems because the heat here in Southern CA got to it. It's just like our old one, so we anticipated having the same problem again. My husband suggested making some kind of cover for it to shield it from direct sunlight--hinged so it could be flipped up when we wanted to use the controls. Stumped by the need for something lightweight, but opaque, and that would also fit due to the angle of the bezel and its placement on the heater, I suggested using a plastic pan (originally bought to develop photos). He cut it to fit, mounted it, and it has worked wonderfully ever since.
