This HDMI ARC audio &DAC audio converter can retum the sound of a TV that supports ARC function to Optical RCA and 3.5mm headphone jack output.It also supports optical digital The audio signal is converted into a stereo analog signal,which perfectly solves the interface compatibility problem between the TV and the audio system.
Connection and Operation:
1.Connect the ARC/TV port of the converter to the HDMI/ARC port of the TV through an HDMI cable.
Note:Please connect to the HDMI interface with the ""ARC""mark! Otherwise,audio output cannot be obtained.
2.You can also connect the optical interface of the converter to the optical interface of the TV through an optical fiber cable.
3.Use optical fiber cable,coaxial cable or RCA cable and 3.5mm audio cable to connect to the amplifier system.
4.Connect the USB power supply cable to the DC 5V interface of the converter.
5.Switch to the corresponding channel by flipping the switch.

I could not get it to work. How many different devices do they have to make to confuse a customer who does not know which of the devices to choose? Why can’t all newTV’s have the latest ports so we do not have to invest in a connector to use a soundbar?

I bought this adaptor to run my Apple tv 4k only has HDMI output. I ran the hdmi cord into my digital to analog converter, which is connected to my home audio system. I only got beep sounds and no audio transferred.

At this price, I would have difficulty justifying anything less than 5 stars as long as it seems to work.There are a couple shortcomings.It only comes with a USB cable. No RCA/optical/coax cables, or USB power adapter.With cables attached to two sides of the adapter, it's not exactly attractive, so you'll probably hide it out of view.The analog audio out quality probably won't impress the audio snobs out there. If you compare it to the analog output of a separate DAC that costs several times what this unit does, I'm sure it won't measure up. However, I'm using a 1980s receiver that needs some new capacitors, my current speakers are far from "reference" models, my RCA cable is a cheap one I had laying around, and I have tinnitus... so analog output quality of the adapter is several steps down on the list of limits to my audio quality. If you have a digital input on your setup, sound quality *should* be great, but I haven't tested that.My setup has the USB power adapter (not included) plugged into a switched outlet on my receiver. When I turn on the receiver, the adapter turns on, and MY TV automatically switches from the internal speakers to the ARC output. If I turn off the receiver, the TV switches back to the internal speakers. The auto switching is a setting on my TV, and it works great. YMMV depending on your TV.Overall, I'd say it does the job for me.

After using this adapter, the connection between TV and speakers is smoother, the sound quality is significantly improved, the ARC function is stable, and the operation is simple. It completely solves the audio output problem in my home, and I am very satisfied.

Sound quality is good for converting digital to analog. It does add a slight hum at high volume (-45dB and higher)

when hooked up it works on the television as advertised but the connections are not good. Seems whenever I go to use it I have to jiggle the connections around to get a good connection. I have tried several things but nothing has worked. I just have to re-do the connections almost every time...
