Used this product of some solar panels that fogged with age. Cleaned up great.

I almost gave up on my headlights that barely showed any light at night when I was driving. After seeing this, I decided to give it a try before replacing the entire headlight assembly. I followed the instructions and cannot believe how well it worked. Turned my yellowish lenses back to clear. Now I can see at night like I had new headlights. This definitely worked for my 2017 Nissan Rogue without issue. It did take some time and elbow grease but was well worth it.

This restoration kit did a great job of restoring the headlights on my daughter's 2009 Honda Civic. You can see in the before and after pictures how much better they look. The process took about an hour for both headlights. Make sure you have several towels handy for the drying phase. You'll also need a spray bottle filled with water. Everything else you need is in the kit including the tape to mask off the paint around the headlights. The process was pretty straightforward, but your arms will be tired after the sanding phase. I have a 3" battery powered car detailer that I will likely use the next time I do this. The instructions leave out an important item. You need to spray water on the lenses when you are sanding. You shouldn't sand them dry. The product page mentions using water but the instructions that come with the kit do not. It also doesn't say whether you should rinse off the residue from the oxidation removal wipes before you start sanding. When you are sanding with the 2000 grit paper, it should slide fairly smoothly on the lens before you go on to the 3000 grit. At least that's how I did it since you really don't know when you've sanded enough. Keep using the spray bottle while sanding so the surface stays wet.Once sanding was complete I dried the lenses thoroughly. They still looked quite cloudy from the sanding. As soon as I applied the ceramic coating however, the cleared right up. I couldn't believe how good they looked. My daughter said she didn't think they ever looked that good.I'm not sure how long this will last but if it lasts a year I'll be happy. It is an inexpensive kit and it only took an hour of my time. i would get this kit again.

1. Transparency warningI received this product for review. I was not paid for my opinion, I have not been contacted by the seller, and my opinion is my own honest opinion for better or worse. The only difference between my normal reviews and my Vine reviews, are I try to go more in depth out of courtesy for others and in respect of the program itself. I also still have to pay taxes, actually use the product, and spend time writing this.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------2. Initial ImpressionsPackaging was done very well and everything was in great shape.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------3. Performance and FeaturesMy 2004 Escalade ESV was not exactly well taken care of previously. So as you may imagine, driving at night was a nightmare. We could barely see with low or high beams, and if another vehicle went by we couldn't see at all. We drove it once at night and said never again. My little brother told me to get a kit like this as I am still learning about cars. I took my time with it, put in the elbow grease on the pads, and sure enough it works! Threw in some LED headlights after and now we actually feel safe driving at night.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------4. Strengths- Works just as well as any of the big named kits- Was not hard to figure out- Cleaned up my headlamp housing so we can see to drive at night-------------------------------------------------------------------------------5. Weaknesses or Suggestions- Instructions could be a little better-------------------------------------------------------------------------------6. Value for MoneyFor $14 I'd say this is a good value. I'd spend $14 any time to make sure my headlamp housing is clear so I can drive safely at night time.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------7. Overall Rating★ - Product is in dire need of improvements before it is worth purchasing. I would probably not consider purchasing again.★★ - Product does not meet expectations, needs improvement, and/or is not worth purchasing at the price-point. I might consider purchasing again with improvements.★★★ - Product is adequate, as expected, and is average for it's quality, price, and features. I would consider purchasing again.★★★★ - Product is above average and meets specific needs. I would purchase again.★★★★★ - A fantastic, well-made product, that meets specific needs/wants, is expected to last, and I would absolutely purchase again. My rating for this product: ★★★★-------------------------------------------------------------------------------8. Would You Recommend It?I would very much recommend this kit if you need to clean your headlamp housing. Mine went from barely putting out any light, to fully blasting the white LED light out now.

Now in all honesty I did not use this on headlights. I used the kit on my third member light as a test. Worked out great. Step one the oxidation removal wipe spent a good 5 minutes rubbing away albiet maybe longer than needed. After letting step 1 dry up i rinsed and wiped dry with a microfiber towl. Step 2 i proceeded to wet sand away with the 2000 grit for 5 minutes then proceeded on to water and 3000 grit for another 5 minutes. After getting all the 2000 grit swirls out with the 3000 grit I went ahead and rinsed and wiped it clean again with a microfiber towel. Step 3 after confirming completely dry I opened up the ceramic coat wipe and applied in smooth one directional strokes overlapping a bit with each wipe. Now sitting on the counter with a paper towel under it in case of any drippage and looks like new.It is a smoked lense that always had a haze to it but as you can see the LED's are all clearly visible now and no longer lost in the fog. The original picture was taken after washing it and rinsing off so the lense wasnt 100% dry allowing more to be seen than when on the Yukon. Pictures are uploaded in order pre work, step 1 complete, step 2 between grits, step 2 complete, and 15 minutes after step 3 was completed. Good price for the kit, definitely beats out the kits I can pick up locally in store so no complaints from me.
