by far my favorite type of fire sleeve with the silicone coating. This stuff works great in close proximity to exhausts, manifolds and turbos. keeps those electrical wires, -an line, vacuum lines, etc protected from the heat. Heat management is critical in building a high performance car that can stand the test of time. This particular fire-sleeve has been instrumental in my build and protecting critical components from heat. Great product that works well

Let me preface this review with the statement; "I do NOT order items I do not intend to use myself". That said: This came in as one of those kinda "wow" items, just like the picture but better than you expected. I used a couple of feet to insulate a fuel line pump to carb on a '67 Mustang that was vapor-locking something awful. Worked like a charm just as is but, IF you needed a bit more there was more than enough room to have slid over some tight wound insulation also. Really like this product and have found it to also work as a chafing guard on wires too. I DO recommend it highly.

I got this to protect a spark plug line that was passing dangerously close to the hot muffler on my commercial walk behind mower. All I was expecting was a basic lightweight mesh-like fiber, but this sleeve feels much more substantial! It's got a very nice, effective silicone coating that should provide an extra layer of heat protection. The material is still pretty easy to cut with some sharp shop shears. Overall an effective shield!

seems to be okay construction. Varies differently from the stock photo provided. I will be doing some temp testing later but not sure if there should be another layer of insulation internal to this or this is just supposed to look like this.I will update when i get some views with my thermal camera up to some heat.

Easy to work with. It fit really well, but it's kind of messy to use because fiberglass gets everywhere. Make sure you're in a place you don't mind it getting all over and wear appropriate gloves.
