Winter snow in Louisiana?!! I had to protect my porch kitties so I got them this house. A bit difficult to put together, I even ripped the vinyl topper trying to stretch it over the top but I was putting it on the porch so I guess I didn’t really need the protective cover. Took a bit for my cats to get used to it but now two in particular love to sleep in the house even when it’s not cold. It seems to be sturdy and will last for a while.

I got this house because I feed stray cats in my backyard and was hoping they could find a comfortable, warm place to rest in the winter. I was worried about some of the reviews saying it would be difficult to put together but it wasn't bad and didn't take longer than 20 minutes. I was concerned that the pieces didn't look like they were going to fit together but ended up using a hammer to get the poles to fully go into the connector pieces and was able to build it successfully myself. I also covered it with a tarp while it was raining and the cats like it! One of the cats likes to sleep under our outdoor table so I separated the heating pad from the house to put it in her sleeping place. She loves the warmth and sleeps there the whole night! Overall really happy with this purchase.

Bought for a stray cat that showed up. Cat Stays in my barn and this heated house supplies warmth and comfort for her. It was easy to put together, and works well

Worth the cost, it would fit 2-3 small cats inside only the one that jumped in first would not let the others in 😬easy to put together, sturdy, was snowed on and stayed dry inside and warm. The cord to plug it in could be longer but it would not prevent me from buying another.

This house was a tremendous value and quality for the price and my senior feral cat really appreciated it during the NE FL winter (we had 18 freezes this year). The only upgrade I would like to see a roof section hanging over the entry to help keep more rain out. I purchased 2 of these, and assembly was easy as long as you pay attention while putting the leg/frame assembly together.

when I first got it, it was great. It was really warm but the plastic that would go on top didn’t fit and now it just stopped working. I tried plugging it in in different places. I tried bringing it in to see if it worked inside nothing it’s only slightly warm towards the end of it and now after a couple of days of past, it stopped working in a total of it and now after a couple of days of past, it stopped working in total.

We've been feeding and caring for a wide variety of feral cats that have come to view our rear patio as home. We've already adopted 4 of them, which we've brought inside and that's where they stay. However, there are an additional 5 outdoor cats we take care of, and we've always dreaded the winter months during which we tried to make some outdoor makeshift shelters. This year, however, we got smarter and wound up purchasing 5 different Clawsable brand outdoor structures with heating pads. Our most recent addition was this particular square house - the subject of this review. Now do keep in mind that these enclosures arrive as a kit - easy to assemble to be sure. This particular design for this foldable cat house is a basic square design - nothing fancy - and it comes with a good-sized heating pad that has a cord that is protected by a metal covering (to prevent animals from chewing on it).The only negative I can think of (and that's subjective) is that the actual enclosure part (the square) sits on top of a stand, which raises it off the ground by 4 inches or so. However, there is no strap or attachment point that binds the square enclosure to the actual stand, thus it could be pushed or slide off easily. Since there are attachment buckles on several sides of the stand, I used tie-tie's to hold the enclosure down - no biggie. Yes, it kit comes with several thin metal attachment stakes (around 8" long), designed to be pushed into the ground (dirt), but you have to provide the rope. If however, you are setting these up on flooring such as a concrete patio or wooden deck, there are no attachment points to keep the square enclosure on the stands (especially during heavy winds). The way I have our heated cat enclosures et up on our rear patio is that I have a large rectangular picnic table to kind of serve like a center covered area. I positioned 5 of these heated cat houses (all different designs) in a U-shaped layout around the picnic table. It kind of looks like a town square for kitties. I then have a huge water-proof plastic tarp which I drape over the picnic table and on all of the cat houses, keeping them dry from rain and/or snow. During inclement weather, I just put their food and water under the picnic table - near their houses, and it's cute to see them get up in the morning, groggy, but comfy with their heated enclosures. The biggest challenge really, is getting the cats to both discover and actually use these heated enclosures on a consistent basis Two of the outdoor feral cats took, in what seemed like weeks, to finally discover these enclosures - walking by them every day, but not going in. Only when it got really cold, did they somehow find their ways to them - and even then, a few of them somehow still elected to lay outside near a log of something (we live by the woods). It can get frustrating at times since we've expended the funds and effort to give them something to protect and comfort them during the winter months. However, the remaining cats found their way to these enclosures almost immediately and use them consistently - so go figure? All in all, these are wonderful enclosures and there are a wealth of designs out there. As I said, the biggest challenge is to get your outdoor furry friends to discover them and make them their homes.I give this enclosure 5 stars because it does it is supposed to do.

I just finished putting two of these together. So far two of my cats have went in them and they like it! That’s a win. I’m testing the heating pads now which fit perfectly in the box. My two adult cats fit well in the large size. I wish they made these twice as big for a cat colony to be in together or nursing mom.. assembly- 😫 No words. Just frustration! Why do they make the fabric piece barely fit to the poles?! It’s literally a workout trying to fit the poles and end pieces together. DO NOT do this project with a spouse. You may sign divorce papers after. Also make sure you have the fabric piece in the right direction or you’ll have to do the whole assembly TWICE! Ask me how I know.Thankfully our cats will be happy and warm but be warned. Assembly is 1/5 stars. Product 5/5.
