So, since the wheel is on the top of the ball in this design, it gives the ball a bit of topspin. So it throws a curveball. It doesn't break hard because the velocity and spin are relatively low, but it's still a somewhat different trajectory than a little-leaguer's fastball. Of course, if I (dad & coach) throw batting practice, that's also a different trajectory than the little leaguers, and I can't afford to wear out my pitchers' arms for practice. This save's coach's arm too - my arm isn't as flexible as it used to be.The manufacturer did replace the wheel under warranty for me - so I'm happy with that. My boys have gotten a lot of use out of it, but it's clearly for little leaguers - under 12. Higher levels need a more accurate machine that throws fastballs.I do enjoy using it myself too - It's been a long time since I competed as a player, but it still feels good to pound a ball.

It was fabulous and my soon to be 16 year old loved it and used it lots. Today (August 5th, 2024) we were out using it and the wheel went wobbly. I tried taking apart to see but unsuccessful. I will do stove research to see if I can get the problem fixed. But we were very pleased with it until now that we can't use it.

Stopped working after 3 or 4 uses. Motor konked out. Gradually, the machine’s power got weaker and weaker until it finally just stopped working. Not sure if warranty will cover, but not worth the money.

Would not recommend, this machine is very loud and has a very hard vibration. Used one time and the rubber wheel had a gash in it and was shredding up as it ran. Threw the balls very inconsistent and had to wait between pitches for wheel to speed back up. Would not recommend at all.

We were very happy with this product at first but the motor burned out in less than two months

It's a nice machine for young players, anything above level "4" the machine vibrates like crazy, is extremely loud and is very inconsistent throwing out real balls. Its fine for foam balls for younger players. Didnt work as well as I expected. It's been returned after 30 min of use.

The product seemed ok so I purchased it for my boys to use. Waited the week for it to arrive and with anticipation took it out of the box and set it up and plugged it in. To my surprise it would not turn on. Contacted Heater Sports representative and after trouble shooting they figured my machine had a bad motor. So can not review durability or longevity as we couldn’t even use it and sent it back.Initial reaction is poor as brand new out of the box it’s a dud.

This is one of my favorite investments. Going from tee ball to coach pitch this was a game changer. Using this machine has really helped the kids watch the ball. My 5-year-old grand is hitting the ball to the fence now. Awesome purchase! I would definitely buy this again.

I teach 10 to 12 youth little league and I see some coaches with the legit 3 grand machines. Note I don't come from a baseball background but I'm having a blast coaching. The machine is very top heavy. It does come with some stakes but I took a smaller old atv tire and put it around the pedestal and problem solved. Try this before you go spend a dollar more!!!

Very good product. We use it with the recommended balls. The only downside is that the spinning wheel changes speed after each pitch so if you want the same pitch every time you have to wait and let it speed up for 1-2 mins. However this isn't a complete negative bc it actually makes the pitches more realistic to what you'd get from a real pitcher - not perfect placement every time. My 6 yo loves it and has turned into a slugger!
