This Smart Door Sensor consists of detector and magnet two parts, It adopts WiFi communication technology, can detect the open or close status between door/window frame and door/window, and report status change to APP in real-time. Double reed Switches design makes installation more flexible, as the magnet part can be installed on either side of the detector part, suitable for different kinds of doors or windows.
- How to add device?
- Open the "Tuya“ or other ”smart Life“ App
- Click"+"on the APP to add a new device, then select" Sensor -Contact Sensor(WIFI)"
- Press and hold the button on the detector for five seconds, until the blue LED light flashes quickly.
- Then the device automatically search-es for network.
- This sensor is for indoor use only.
- Make sure LED indicator is on lower part of detector.
- Avoid installing on metal doors.(Metal door may infuence detection distance and wireless distance).
- Please make sure the mark in magnet align to the mark in detoctor, and make sure installation distance between detector and the magnet less than 20 mm.(Magnet part can be installed on eitheside of detector)
How to Operate?
Power on
1.Sliding down to open the back cover
2.Remove battery insulation film to power on the detector part.
(Please make sure the mark in magnet align to themark in detector, and make sureinstallation distance between detectorand the magnet less than 20 mm.)
Networking
Long press the networking button for 5 seconds, blue LED will flash quickly(about 2 times per second), laterthe APP will prompt networking issuccessful.
(Please follow the guideline in APP tooperate until networking is successful.)
Add device
1.Open Tuya or smart Life APP Enter the user account and passworo Click "+" to add new device, select Sensor > Contact Detector(Wi-Fi)
2.Enter your Wi-Fi name and password
3.The device was added

Well, it was good for 2 days then stopped giving me notifications even though it was sensing the open/close activity in the list. I tried everything I could think of and then decided to delete it from the app and re-add it. It now refuses to connect at all. It sees it and then claims it can’t add it. Sending back.So far so good. Arrived with a full battery. Easy set up. It didn’t fit on my bedroom door with the trim being so thick, so I attached the small sensor to an over the door hook and then secured that hook in place with a command strip and put the large part on the top of the doorframe.

I ordered this sensor to install on my garage freezer door to alert me whenever the door is opened or closed.I already have the Tuya app on my phone for other devices, so I did not need to download the app. Before installing the sensor base and magnet, I removed the plastic tab that allows the battery to connect to activate the sensor. The blue pairing light started flashing and the Tuya app automatically sensed the presence of the sensor and prompted me to click “Add” the new device. I renamed the device from Door Sensor to Garage Freezer to make it easier to identify and use with Alexa.Installation was easy. This sensor contains a reed switch on each side of its base which is closed by the presence of a magnet close to either edge of the base. Both the base unit and the magnet came with double-sided mounting tape affixed to their mounting surfaces. I mounted the base unit on the side of my freezer and mounted the magnet on the door (see photo). I tested the distance between them to be sure the magnet was far enough away to trigger with even a slight opening of the door, yet close enough to be sure it correctly sensed when the door was closed.I linked the Tuya skill for Alexa, so I was able to easily add a routine in the Alexa app to announce, “Freezer is open,” whenever the door opens, and “Freezer is closed,” whenever the door closes.I really like how simple this sensor pairs with its Tuya app, and how easily it integrates with Alexa using the Tuya skill for Alexa. While I wish the base sensor was much smaller, I can tolerate the size with the knowledge that it contains a large, long-lasting, CR2 battery inside. Another nice feature is how the sensor case slides off the mounted base, by pushing upward, to provide easy access to the CR2 battery when it needs replacement. I have not had any issues with this sensor staying connected and it has functioned flawlessly.Overall, this is one of the best open/close sensors I have used and is on my list of new favorites. It’s a versatile, reliable sensor with a long-life battery at an economical price.

Doesn’t reach the door I need it to reach even tho all my other WiFi devices reach that far, and it’s already lowing battery when I literally just opened it and it was delivered today.

I got the four pack, which was the best deal. I was looking for a sensor for a main part of the house my kids enter into that would only notify me of the door opening via my phone. It's perfect for that. I also installed some on some exterior garage doors and such, which also work well. I would say be careful about the range, it looses connection around 20-30ft away from the WiFi source. Other than that, can't go wrong with the price-point.

The only issue I had was finding the correct door sensor in the Smart Life app, but it wasn't difficult just trial and error.
