This sandbag does just what it's supposed to do keeping your tripod nice and stable. Put some weight in it and you are good to go. The straps hold nice and secure.

Using a tripod for steady shots is a huge step in taking better photographs, but a shaky tripod in the wind can be deceptively steady. Adding some weight to the tripod can be key to keeping the tripod actually steady depending on conditions.This weight bag folds up very small and doesn't weigh much, so keeping it my camera bag is easy. Besides just a weight bag, I also find it useful as sort of an accessories tray while shooting to keep items close and handy, such as an extra lens, filters, etc. When I just want to use it as a weight bag, I never have a problem finding rocks to fill it up, but I live in the Rocky Mountains, so your mileage may vary.The Velcro attachment straps make installation easy and this will fit all of my tripods, big and small. This minor investment can really help when shooting in the field and in my opinion is kind of essential when shooting in windy conditions.
