Soon thereafter, Captain Hansen and his wife Margrethe launched a business producing waterproof oilskin jackets, trousers, sou’westers and tarpaulins made from coarse linen soaked in linseed oil – and the legend was born!

These are awesome bibs. Kept me dry all day and also warm with one thin layer. Depending on the temp I’d recommend a base layer and another on top. These are more meant as a shell but I was toasty warm with one thin layer at about 25 degrees F in Breck.

No insulation but perfect for layering up, very comfortable all day. Excellent vent zips on the sides for rapid cooling. Only wish it had a front kangaroo pocket for holding snacks/phone/etc

I have tried on many pairs of snow bibs this year. These by far have the best fit and the quality is superior to the others.
