Let me start with the fact that I'm extremely new to fly tying. This thread just frays out, still useable, but its not great at all. You arent saving that much get the good thread over this.

For the price what you get is great. The color of each thread is nice and deep. The thread itself is strong. I purchased this product about four months ago and I still have plenty of thread left and I’m an avid fly tire. Would definitely recommend this product and I’d love to try other products from this company. Very impressed!! Cheers

It's good thread. I'm learning how to tie salmon and steelhead jigs. This was a good buy, the thread is good quality and you get a variety of colors.

I ordered this to try and get a variety of colors quickly to tie walleye ties for an upcoming trip. Unfortunately, not a single one of the colors was usable - each thread was already frayed and coming apart as soon as it came off of the spool. Ended up going to a local shop (which was not open when I placed my original order) and purchased better quality products for my trip.

Bought this line for beginning fly tying. A 140 denier thread, it is a slick thread which lays flat on the hook, but has a tendency to allow the fly body to move afterwards unless you use a glue to secure it to the hook. It frays, nicks and breaks much easier than polyester threads that I have used. As a novice fly tier, I am still learning the ins and outs of how to best use this thread. I paid about $20 for a dozen small spools of 100 yards each. The order arrived in a timely manner, came with a plastic carry container and has an assortment of colors. Overall, the quality and durability of thread is just so-so (in my opinion.) Not sure I would buy again.
