We had an old glass lined thermal carafe that fell apart because of age. Searching for a replacement we decided to get this stainless steel Heritage66 thermal carafe. After using it for a month to make and dispense our hot morning tea, we really like it. There are days when we keep hot tea in it for over 6 hours. Of course the tea isn't steaming hot, but it's still plenty warm & doesn't need reheating in our microwave. The dispensing lid works very well. Cleaning it isn't difficult with the included brush and it always looks clean.

How often do you need a durable carafe in a hurry? We had contractors showing up for an outside project in cold weather. Ordered this one, got it within a day and it was perfect. Does what it should and seems pretty tough.

Used it today for the first time. Kept my coffee hot. Adding a scrub brush is a nice touch as the opening is quite constricted. One star deducted because even with the opening lever fully retracted, the liquid comes out in a narrow stream. A couple of my guests were sure they were doing something wrong as the "coffee isn't coming out". It was, but not like you'd expect. Small issue - overall, good product.

I replaced my broken thermos with this one and hoped it would work as well. In fact it works much better. T I make in the morning holds all the way through lunch time. Strong construction works very well. One word of caution. Do not try and twist the top back on using the lever but actually hold the top.

Simple to use and attractive with a nice polish finish. However, as far as holding heat, mediocre at best. Good for an hour or so then you really notice the temp dropping rapidly. If you want something to keep hot for more than an hour or so, look elsewhere IMO.

2025 March update:Purchased Heritage66 Thermal Coffee Carafe 2.0 Liter on September 27, 2023.Thermos stopped keeping hot water warm last month (February 2025). Currently, the thermos does not keep boiled water warm for 3 hours. After 3 hours, the water is room temperature. The thermos worked for approximately 1 year 4 months and then suddenly stopped working.Thermos has been carefully cared for, washed with mild detergent by hand, gently stored with a steady use of rinsing, refilling and using only filtered water. It was only $26, but I had hoped it would work for years.================= Previous review after one month of usage ================Purchased about a month ago and have been using everyday. Since I use only filtered boiled water, cleaning has been minimal. Keeps boiled water hot for beyond 12 hours. Perfect size so I can boil a full pot of water which fills it to the rim. Solid stainless steel.A minor aspect is that when tightening the top, it doesn't fully align with the handle. Extra pressure is required to align it up. Always fearful that pressure might break it. So the top is tightened gently and slowly. Not a big deal.
