For starters, I'm an engineer at an industrial facility, and sometimes I have to go traverse our site in the rain when duty calls. In the past, I've borrowed a coworkers rain jacket, waited it out, or tried to take a maze route using as many covered structures as possible. So I ordered this rain jacket for the rainy day conditions I sometimes experience at work.The first thing I noticed when unboxing this jacket was that it was thicker than I expected. The mesh lining adds more thickness and weight than I thought. At the time of this review, it is March, so not terribly hot/humid, but I expect this jacket may not be the most comfortable in July/Aug when summer heat is in full force.I'm a 6'-1" 220lb male, and the size of this jacket fits me about right. I wouldn't want it any smaller. Last week we had a rainy day at work, and I was able to wear this jacket out around the facility. When walking around, I did notice that my bottoms (pants) still got fairly wet. Some other jackets are longer, which end up covering your knees (which means that most of your legs avoid contacting the water dripping off the jacket. So, if I was out there for any extended period of time, I would really need some waterproof bottoms to really feel weather protected.The jacket itself is constructed well (with the note about it being thicker due to the mesh lining). There are a plethora of pockets (most outside, 1 inside). The zipper is large and sturdy, however ergonomically I with the zipper rode on the right side instead of the left (its backwards from the way all my other zippers go).This jacket is currently priced competitively in the marketplace, and I'd recommend if you have a pair of waterproof bottoms, but otherwise you may want to purchase a longer raincoat.

This is a heavy duty jacket that is warm enough for winter and definitely too warm for moderate temps above 60F or so. I wear a size Large and ordered the size Large/X-Large. It is a little too big for me, by roughy 1/2 a size, so I tightened the sleeve cuffs to maintain the correct sleeve length. It's unfortunate that the sizing options are not more specific like S-M-L-XL options but are mixed sizes like small/medium and large/extra large. Also be aware that the zipper is on the 'wrong' side for a guy and is on the 'correct' side for a women's jacket. Now for the positives. I have worn this jacket bike riding and it is excellent++ in terms of warmth (it has a light liner) and wind proof protection. Plus the bright yellow color is so vibrant during the day that cars notice me much more so. The bottom line is that if you (meaning a guy) can get used to the zipper being on the left side and the coat is mid-sized (neither large nor extra large), it can actually be a very practical, warm, rain-proof, wind-proof and high-visibility jacket. And that is why I gave it a 5 rating. It has been perfect for bike riding in late winter during the day. And I imagine it would be good for twilight bike riding given the highly reflective stripes.

This is a very nice hi-vis rain jacket. Big, strong flap pockets with openings on the sides for your hands. Clear id pocket at the chest. Comfy mesh lining that goes all of the way down the arms. Removable hood that is attached with big, sturdy snaps ~ easy on, easy off. Concealed zipper that is big and strong. Hook and loop fasteners on the zipper placket and both cuffs. The hi-vis is very visible making it good and safe. It is also warmer than I would have expected, especially for offering no insulation.It is sized in an unusual way with S/M, L/XL, and 4XL/5XL. I really wish the sizing was a bit more precise, but not a deal breaker. And the big sturdy zipper is left-handed and takes a little getting used to, but also not a deal breaker.Well constructed, fairly priced and all it claims to be.
