I purchased the HiBy FC3 Display on August 20th through Amazon. Initially, the device worked fine. However, about three weeks later, it stopped being recognized by any device I connected it to, including computers and smartphones. The display would turn on, but there was no sound, and it wasn't detected by any device.I reached out to HiBy's customer support, and they suggested flashing the firmware using a tool they provided. Despite following their instructions meticulously, the FC3 was not detected by the flashing tool. I sent them images showing the issue, but their response was to contact the store where I purchased the device for after-sales support. To make matters worse, Amazon did not provide any support for this issue either. This experience has been incredibly frustrating. The device malfunctioned within a few weeks of purchase, and the support provided by HiBy and Amazon has been inadequate. I am now left with a non-functional device and no clear path to a resolution. I would not recommend the HiBy FC3 to anyone based on my experience.

I use this with my 1More headphones on my Phone which doesn't have enough output power to sound good or my laptop with its poor sound quality output. This does the trick and makes everything sound AMAZING. The Hiby app is also quite good and allows for internal control of the unit itself. It supports around 60mw per channel (112mw is like the combined) but overall this is enough for most IEMs and most importantly it has 0 ohm output impedance and such. Check ASR for a very technical review!

I bought this 3 weeks ago but after a week I couldn't find it. I looked at all the places I might have put it, checked jacket pockets, clothes hamper to now avail. I ordered another one. When I did laundry this week I found it in the dryer. I was sure it was ruined, but I was wrong. It's working fine. Miraculous!!!

This is my 2nd portable DAC. My first one was generic $15 dongle DAC with no inline volume. While the cheap one doesn't sound bad at all, the HiBy is definitely warmer and a bit more balanced. Not everyone would be able to tell the difference, but if you're considering spending $80 on a DAC/headphone amplifier combo over a simple usbc to 3.5mm adapter, this is a good option. It sounds good. The quality of the stream is indicated by the color of the LED light on the unit. It's nice to have them on the readout screen as well, but the screen's real use is to see what level your volume is at.The Hiby software isn't terrible, but leaves quite a bit to be desired in my eyes. You have to go into the settings to enable bit perfect audio, and it requires giving the application exclusive access to the DAC, which is inconvenient. For example, with it enabled, and you want to listen to YouTube video or audio from any other app outside of the HiBy app, you have to unplug it and plugging it back in, and wait for the prompt in order to deny the Hiby app exclusive access to the device.I've dropped it, I keep it in the bottom of a bag that gets jumbled around with other debris. It's solid, doesn't even seem to have any scratches, the USB port and the headphone jack are still tight and work perfectly. The reason I guve it four stars and not five is due to the low power output available to drive headphones. Given the price, again, there are other similarly priced options that have more power and thus sound better through even inexpensive headphone. It's fine for IEMs, but anything over 40ish ohms, and it lacks the juice to do it's fundamental job of making your audio sound good.Decent product, if not a bit expensive. But definitely of a good quality considering its form factor. I got mine on sale for $60. It sounds more than good enough for being out and about. I wish I'd paid more for something with more power.

This device works well with Apple Music and plays tracks in their high resolution formats. It works straight out of the box with USB-C devices. It does come with a USB-C to USB-A adapter. For other Apple devices with lightning ports, you will need an extra dongle. If you have a lightning port, you will need the lightning to USB3 camera adapter. This is a nice dongle as it has an extra lightning plug to charge the device while using it. The older lightning to camera adapter (USB) which is $30 would likely work as well.

For the price, build quality and sound better the Helm which is far more expensive.Plus it's tiny.Like that the usb is cable is interchangeable, making more versatile. The main negative is the Android app is a little confusing. Still trying to figure that out. But unless you are using MQA, I doubt I would use it. I note mqa is a subscription which may put some people off.Lastly, Amazon sent me the wrong colour. I asked for the black and got purple....which I actually really liked, so kept it.
