I installed a 30x11 deck and used these clips and they worked perfectly. NOT ONE single screw stripped. I did have two screws sheer and break trying to go into a knot in the wood but that's it. I'd recommend these to anyone!

The Phillip head strips like butter. Then impossible to get back out. Sticks up halfway. Looks terrible.But Home Depot sells a number 6 black finishing screw 21/4 with a square head, that’s coated black. Does the trick.But a pain the butt to change them out but at 1/4 the cost worth it to keep Trex and the rest from price gouging. Just wish the distributor would put the right screw in and charge an extra $50. Or how bout this. Sell them cheaper without the screw???Good luck fellow deckers!
