Only good for a weak ass weed. Don't even try to pull the stronger, deeper one. Tool will bend and then it's useless.

Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend who is constantly pulling weeds with his hands and getting poison ivy and roughing up his hands.Let me say he literally loves this thing. He literally wants to go out and pull weeds lol. You have to get it down go a methodical rhythm and when you do it’s awesome. He said to mention that if you stab and twist it around it also gets the root out without having to clamp down. It’s make a huge difference for him with yard work in the flower beds etc. It’s very substantial quality and so nicely packed. He thought it cost at least $70-$80 based on quality!I didn’t get photos of it in use but I did get him posing joyfully when he received it lol. Who would have thought he’d adore a weed puller. lol

I read reviews about other similar products and came across this one. Most of the other products negatives mentioned studiness and this one does not have any issues. It works as advertised and is relatively easy to use. The only draw back was the hole it leaves behind in your lawn. It's made of a decent metal that so far is lasting well.

This looked like a great idea. Then I received it and no directions. Tried putting it together and there were 2 different screws and only 1 hole for a screw. So I have an extra screw and no place to put it, so I put it in a drawer. It sure would be nice if these companies had directions...not all of us are men! If anyone knows where the shorter screw goes, please let me know! I'm going to see if I can find a company web site...I hope I get lucky there.

If you don’t like pulling weeds or have a difficult time bending over this tool is for you. It’s sturdy, not cheap and won’t bend or break. Just put the open claw over the offending weed, step on the foot pedal and pull. It’s that easy. Definitely worth the money.

This device is very well designed. It works like a dream, very little effort required and works every time. I used a 1 inch diam 3 ft dowel for the handle. The provided screw is just right. Made of cast iron, it is very strong, probably better than aluminium. I can really recommend it. Well done whoever designed it.

I'll use it more this coming spring. One of the screws was pretty difficult but whatever. The design was not a hundred percent intuitive but it didn't take more than 3 minutes to perfect the actions needed to push in and remove correctly. The functionality seems great. I recommend this product if nothing else than to keep on the corner to use a few times a year.

This Weed Puller Head is extremely effective and fast and virtually effortless to use. It is easy to find a haft to fit the head exactly. Best if the haft is about a metre and half long for easy insertion and good leverage. I used it the first day for an hour or so to extract over a hundred small thistles and dandelions in grass. The most important thing is to centre the head directly over the centre of the weed first. Then pressing the tool head into the ground with your foot on the projecting pedal takes no effort and opens the claw. A simple tilting of the haft using the pedal as a fulcrum closes the claw and levers out the weed, again with no significant effort. The most time-consuming parts of the operation are finding the centres of dandelions in grass in the first place, and pulling out the weeds from the opened claw if they are mixed with sticky clay! This is an excellently designed tool, and one hopes that the steel construction means it will last indefinitely.

The head is very durable. Built like a rock, it pierce the ground and yank out the weed root.If I can start from the beginning, I’d buy the rod too. This one uses 1” non tapered rod, and all I can find in Home Depot is the Quickie brand 1-1/8” tapered, so I first cut off the taper end with chop saw, then use dremmel and sand paper to grind down to 1”, then use drill for the screw hole…..total of three lower tools, and I know not everyone has all three. Trust me, just buy the combo with the rod.Cool thing about it, you just need to pretend it’s so fun yanking out the weed, then kids would be fighting to use it, then you just sit back and relax while they tackle the weed.

Once I had connected a sturdy handle I was off to tackle some sprawling pods of crabgrass and a few grasses I don't even know the names of. I'm a senior lady of small stature with a rather large corner lot. This means more yard than I really should need to upkeep. While it is primarily Bermuda grass there are spots left too long unattended. I'm on a mission! This tool has been the easiest tool to grab and kill a few minutes plucking those weeds when I have a few extra minutes to tend to the yard and the day is coming to an end, meaning a bit cooler temperature. I had my doubts about this tool but am very pleased at the results I'm getting in my yard.
