Decent cheap meter. I needed to check some current settings and it worked well. Works for other measurements.

This is probably 1 of the oldest type Multimeters I ever tried to use and to make sure I was using this item correctly I downloaded an instructional video. This video taught me many things I did not know about using a Multimeter, things that now I am more than positive are the reasons that not a 1 of my other multimeters did not last very long at all. Knowing this now I see that this multimeter is very accurate and will likely last for decades of use as long as I use it correctly.

Good multimeter, exact copy of a GE that I had but blew up. The housing of this one feels a little cheaper, but if you treat it well, it won’t break.

I think you get what you pay for with this thing. I have not tested it extensively but it seems to be close and will do the job and the prices under $10 so that’s good. In your hand, it feels like a cheap plastic toy, though I have to admit. If you have anything more than in frequent use, I would suggest getting a better quality. Course it depends on your needs - made in China, of course.

Small enough to be handy—big enough to do the job. A potential concern might be the weak connection between wires and leads. I have a similar issue with the same meter than is still good but the leads are not! No support from company. At this price point, not too worried.

Works as it should, until it broke.Bought 6/23/2020.Used only a handful of times to measure voltage and resistances on small electronics projects during building them."Clicker" functionality ("clicks" between settings as you turn) broke today, 10/3/2020.Having some mechanical aptitude, I opened it up to see if I could fix it. The plastic is so poor in quality that several parts on the inside related to the clicker had snapped. I fixed it enough that it should have held together for a little longer. Put it back together and two clicks later the rest of the plastic inside snapped apart and is no longer repairable. It has also stopped reading voltage completely, which is 50% of what i use it for.Since I am well outside the 30 day return window, I will have to buy another one. Will not be buying this one again though. Pay a few dollars more and save yourself the trouble!

The device is basic and will work in a jiffy for simple tasks. I was able to sort our my basket of unknown batteries in short order. Great price and small (size of an adult hand) so fits in my toolkit easily. Would recommend if not looking for heavy duty product.

First off, the display was not working properly when it arrived. The display isn't actually hardwired into the circuit board. There is a rubberized strip that makes contact between it and the circuit board, held in place by plastic. Obviously, the plastic wasn't letting it make a good connection. Simple to fix by putting a rubber pad of some sort over the circuit board, so that when the case closes, it pushes down on the circuit board, which then makes the circuit board properly contact with the display. I used a rubber sleeve meant to be put on pens to give a soft grip. Worked fine!Secondly, the transistor socket is pretty micky mouse. Works with a bit of fiddling, provided the transistor you are testing has perfectly straight legs which are of original length. Seems the transistor legs need to go pretty far into the socket to make contact. As far as accuracy, it seems to be just fine. The transistor hfe testing yields a very close match to actual hfe. I did some hfe testing with a handbuilt circuit, and the meter readings right on, right across the board.Someone mentioned that the meter leads are very sharp. They certainly are, but ok, once you file them down a bit to take the point off.Nice that it came with a 9V battery.Even with display problems, it's worth getting. Arrived within 6 days or so. For $10, you can't go wrong!

I've used this multimeter to measure things from button cell to CR2016 batteries to AA and even car batteries, and this proved to be useful and reliable through my tests. I don't really know how to use it but from tinkering from it, I use mine on the V~ 20 (DC) setting which provides for pretty accurate measurements. There is a small User Manual that comes with it but it doesn't actually teach you how to use the DMM.The product that I received was slightly different than what is pictured, and the box that it came in is also toned down to less flashy graphics. I like it very much and can't wait to see how long it lasts. I think it uses a 9V battery but that's already packaged inside the DMM, not sure it'll be until that 9V conks out. The red and black testing probes seem a little flimsy at first touch but I reinforced them with a little hot glue where I thought the wire might break... no problems as of yet!Buy this for a cheap and (sofar) reliable Digital MultiMeter. Don't mess with those old '50s analog multimeters as those are too tough to read and are often not as reliable as this. If you need a DMM for more important things like testing batteries for medical purposes, I would suggest to get a brand name DMM but for the price, this is great for the casual hobbyist!Edit:You plug in the black leading wire to COM and for tasks that draw less than 10Amps, plug red into the middle jack that says VQmA to measure things like AA battery voltage and small tasks. BLACK ALWAYS GOES TO COM. I suspect other reviewers say that this product doesn't work because they plug the leads into the wrong jack. I also forgot to note that sometimes at other settings than V~20, I get readings where the lcd reads: 1____. Maybe this means that my battery was out of range for that specific range-test-field but I'm not sure.
