Used these wheels when I decided to make my IKEA cabinets rolling. The wheels are easy to install and are quiet. My cabinets are now mobile. Excellent choice.

Very good product and easy to install, with the proper tools.Tools required:1/2" Drill BitDrill, corded or cordless (make sure your drill can handle it)9/16" hex head bolt (take one of the inserts to the store with you and try it there, good time to buy a proper drill too)9/16" wrench (not the one that came with it, but don't toss it yet)1. Mark the location, or guess, but be careful because the drill could walk on you, maybe drill a starter hole with a smaller bit first.2. Drill to sufficient depth, just over the length of the insert.3. Blow the dust off and take your eye protection and earplugs off; you had those on right?4. Insert the bolt all the way into the insert (from the wide end). If it sticks out the other side you may need to ensure your hole is deep enough.5. Place the narrow end of the insert into the hole and start by hand, then switch to the wrench and tighten until the flanged (wide) end seats onto the wood. Moderately slowly! Like don't take 30 minutes but don't play NASCAR pit stop either.6. Remove the hex head bolt, leaving the insert fully seated.7. Screw the casters into the casters into the insert until fully seated. Take the wrench that came with the set (like I said, don't toss it like I did) and tighten until snug and then another quarter turn.8. Take off your gloves and clean up the mess; you did wear gloves didn't you?Notes: - If the insert backs out with the bolt, either the hole you did is too big or the wood is too soft, either way you may need some help at this point, ask Mom, she'll know what to do.- Do wear gloves, eye protection, short sleeves or at least rolled up, and no loose clothing, spinning tools like to grab things and break them. If you don't like loud noises wear ear protection. But wear them even if you do, tinnitus and hearing loss are no joke.- Don't work alone, have someone within ear shot, that way they can bring you a cold drink with they come to admire your handiwork.

I bought these wheels to replace 1 inch wheels that came with my rolling desk. These wheels are the Cadillac of rolling wheels for furniture!!! My desk rolling so smoothly now that I can sneak up on people. They glide effortlessly across a tile floor that has wide grout lines.I did have to pop the old wheel sockets out so I'm thankful these wheels came with some. In the end it was absolutely worth a little elbow grease. After all, you are buying something that didn't come with your original item, whatever that item may be.
