Used the red connectors to complete a low-voltage lighting project using 18 and 22 gauge wires. I have a ratchet-style crimping tool which I used to do the crimps. I can't say for certain since I don't this a lot, but it did seem to me to require more effort to crimp these than other connectors I've used in the past. Depending on the awkwardness of the situation, I sometimes was only able to complete the crimp with the help of channel lock pliers applied to the handle of the crimper to give me extra leverage. The plus side to that is I have confidence these connections are going to be durable.

You're getting a LOT of connectors for this price -- probably a lifetime supply if you're not doing production work. I would say these connectors are of good quality and crimp well with no hint of cracking in the red vinyl jacket when crimped. I tested them with 18awg wire and got a secure connection that I couldn't pull apart. Recommended.I wish these came in a plastic container with a lid because there are so many of them and you'll likely have them for a long time. The plastic bag is perfect for shipping but not good for long term storage. I just ended up finding an old container around the house and dumped them in there.
