This is the first time I have used this type of fin on my SUP. It does track better in comparison to the traditional rounded fin of similar length. Great for flat waters and or long trips.It is subtle to notice but you will stay straighter for longer periods of time between strokes. This is a longer fin, I paddle mostly in the northeast and there is many shallow and obstructions in the water. Use wisely. Wonderful fin, glad it is part of the kit. I do change this out depending on the type of water.I do find this fin a bit easier to change out, but be sure the safety or security clip is fastened to hold the fin. I like it better than the slide in clip and or the one that requires the little screw and nut.

Noticed it was gone and that it just fell out. I think the locking mechanism needed to be replaced as well? I don't know but really give it a good test before you go out because it's annoying to have to buy these over and over again

Locking device for this fin is LAME! Lost our first fin right away! Do this with a clevis pin and save the hassle, really easy to drill 1/4" hole.
