….. and oh, he loves the hat portion and is able to wear it without any issue, he cannot say the same for the mask part. He said it hung weirdly on his face, and not in a very productive way. It did not sufficiently warm him because it hung well below his nose and did not, in fact, cover it and the majority of his face. Which is the purpose behind this style of hat and mask together. And especially for my husband here in Utah winters, and him spending a lot of his working hours out in the cold. He really needs something that can help to keep him warm sufficiently. But aside from the mask not being very helpful, he cannot say enough good about the hat itself. He absolutely loves this hat! He said it is so soft and warm, and it keeps his head sufficiently warm. Now we just need to find him some sort of facial coverage.

This is a simple, warm cap. I used it in weather cold enough to turn your drink into slush, and it kept my head warm enough. While it’s a bit thin, it still does a good job of blocking wind chill from my head and ears. I really like that it has a mask incorporated into the design. The look is simple and clean, which I appreciate. However, just keep in mind that it’s not the best choice if you’re looking for a thicker head covering.

This Trooper style hat will keep your head nice and warm!This hat fits my average sized head nicely, with a little room to spare. I like the faux fur side flaps that cover your ears and clip together under your chin. The flaps can also be clipped together behind the back of your head when you don't need them. Which is a nice feature. The faux fur on the front top portion is sewn in place in two spots and creates a great second barrier from the cold to your forehead.The lining and the outer shell of this hat are made from the same material and is fairly thick and creates a nice layer of insulation. There is a detachable nose and face mask included, that can be snapped to the hat with the ear flaps down in a loose position or be positioned around your ears with elastic bands. You can also have the face mask tightly positioned on your nose and chin with the ear flaps clipped together on the back of your head.This hat will be added to my cold gear pack or used when it is really cold outside, when warmth is needed for an extended amount of time. A Great new piece to my gear.An Easy 5 Stars!

This Russian-style, Trooper-style winter hat is loose-fitting and comfortable. The ear and neck areas are lined with the furry material. The mask portion is snap-fitted on both sides and adequately covers the entire nose, mouth and chin areas. There are straps attached to the ends of the mask to make it easier to remove it with gloved hands. There is also a snap-fit strap that passes under the chin that I wish were adjustable for a tighter fit under my chin; it is not (minus 1 star).The fur above the face area is mostly ornamental on this model, to give it the appearance of the familiar Russian head covers seen frequently in movies and reels. As you can see in one of my pictures, you can easily wear eyeglasses - if you keep the bottom of the lenses outside the mask. When inside, the eyeglasses quickly fog up. I would have liked this more if it had the furry lining over the entire inside, but the satiny material is sufficiently warm, as well, and doesn't mess up your hair as much.

This is a comfortable winter hat!It has a clip at the bottom to secure the two side flaps together, if desired, and the mask portion can be removed. Note that the majority of the inner area of the hat does not have the faux fur lining, it's more of an accent to the visible areas.
