Quality, sturdy, stackable storage. The only problem is hinge. It can come apart and if not complete in place lid will not close or lock. But pleased with product. Have bought three times in two colors.

They are just like the surplus .50 cal boxes you can find at an army surplus store, except they are brand new and painted black. The only thing that irritated me about these were that the box they were shipped in got torn at the corner during shipment and scratched a corner of one of the cans. If you are going to actually store ammo in them, beware that these cans will get REALLY heavy.

Cans arrived as pictured, good paint no rust. They had no dents from shipping, well packaged for shipping.I would say more wrapping could be used but that adds weight. Clasps were good as well as the hinges. Can't complain about the quality, would recommend to a friend. Just for the record this was my experience and it was good.

The ammo cans are sturdy and come with a wide seal to ensure an air and water-tight seal. The price is reasonable for the quality you get.

I really do think that these are genuine military issue, just pinched off the production line and sold commercially. The weight / metal thickness / quality is the same as the genuine disposal ammo boxes I have (minus the rust and grime :-) The rubber gasket is SOLID, and all of the weld points are identical to GI issue. The hinge is very loose and the top falls off easily - but I fixed this in no time at all by using multigrip pliers to squeeze each hinge lobe to tighten them up a bit... now they work exactly like the military ones - you can get the lid off, but it won't fall off. They must have fixed the sticker - came off in a single satisfying peel.

This Ammo Can doesn't latch securely. The cam lock is bent off to one side and can unlatch on it's own when the can is lifted. Also, the overall quality of the metal work is not great, and it shipped in just a plastic bag, no box. I do not recommend this ammo can. I have quit a few military surplus cans like this one, and they all work fine, so I know what should be expected.
