The Honeywell InSight® ® Series HEPA Air Purifier (HPA5300B) helps provide cleaner, fresher air in extra-large rooms up to 500 square feet. Its Air Quality Sensor continuously monitors air quality, while the display shows real-time air cleaning levels. Great for homes with pets, allergen sufferers, smoke, wildfire smoke, or stale air, this quiet purifier has Auto Mode, 2/4/8 hour off timers, and dimmer for night use. Includes 3 “R” HEPA filters (replace annually) to capture 99.97%* of microscopic allergens like dust, pollen, pet dander, smoke, including wildfire smoke, plus one “A” pre-filter (3-month replacement) to capture larger particles like hair, lint or pet fur, and reduce odors/contaminants released from products like paints, cleaners, or candles for optimal home air purification. Earned the ENERGY STAR label by meeting strict energy efficient guidelines set by U.S. EPA Disclaimers:* From the air that passes through the filter, 0.3 microns and larger. ** Based on 3rd party independent CADR testing for the smoke CADR value when operated at the highest level. Air circulation depends on many factors, such as room size and configuration. There is no guarantee that all of the air in a room will pass through the filter.

My father-in-law recommended this air purifier I have asthma and I have a stinky dog and I always seem to be getting sick so far it seems to be working great and it’s so quiet not like the old air purifiers that you could hear in another room

Several family members are very sensitive to the pollen around here and it triggers their asthma; so I've been using a couple of the smaller versions of this one from Honeywell. But finally saved enough to get this big one, with three HEPA filters plus the very useful prefilter. It is not at all noisy, especially if you run it on auto, which is a great feature. This one is black and since it is in the great room where everyone can see it, it is an added bonus that it is so nice looking. I will update if it disappoints me in future months, but so far, it has been money well spent, and there have been no respiratory problems so far.As I wrote earlier on the review for the smaller version, Honeywell's customer service has been firsat class, with real, intelligible human beings that are genuinely helpful and kind.I would recommend (in fact I have recommended) Honeywell's Insight Hepa Air Purifier to anyone who is interested.

The price on the 300 series jumps around considerably. I've seen it for anywhere between $159 and $259. I was fortunate to snag it at the lower figure. I had the previous version for nearly 10 years where it performed faithfully 24/7. Then the motor started making loud squealing noises however and I needed a replacement. Honeywell has streamlined the appearance of the unit and simplified the controls. I like the new "Auto" mode that adjusts the fan speed based on the air quality. There is a cool looking "heads up" display. The pre-filter and 3 main filters are the same type, so I usually keep a few sets on hand as I have several of these units about my condo. All in all I don't see anything to complain about. I have no regrets and would purchase again 👍👌

I had a prrevious model, the HPA 100, for my daughter's bedroom and it worked out really well. I went with Honeywell because it seemed to have good features without creating ozone which was important for me. I decided that I wanted to get a bigger one for the basement too. Lo and behold there was a new version available. But unfortunately I had already ordered the old version the HPA 300. I decided to make the best of the situation and compare the two models. The new version is a little slicker looking, though, the clear plastic portion looks a little cheesy / will probably be prone to scratches. It is also a bit more efficient. However, the older model actually may cost less money to run because it uses less electricity / is smaller. The real sticking point, though, was the low-level hum that this unit and the bigger models emited. It seems that the actual fan noise might be a little bit lower, and maybe I am just not used to this particular frequency of noise, but I just couldn't get over it. I also tested the noise volume between the new model and old model with a DB app and it did confirm that the new model was about 5 dB louder. This is in no way a scientific comparison, but it confirmed my anecdotal feelings about it. I have lots of fans, and music products, and none of them emit a hum like this. I usually associate a hum like this with some sort of grounding issue. Ultimately, I was disappointed and I returned it.

I love it so I have the round one 360° for years. I bought it in “97” and it lasted me all the way up to 2015 so I bought another one and that died after seven years so it was out of warranty so I wasn’t about to get the same thing again so I decided to go with a newer model. The only thing I don’t like about it if you want the S filters you need to buy three of them I went to buy one and they where $31 so that means we’re gonna have to pay $93 to get three filters that you have to exchange in three months, I think I’ll skip the S filters. Other than that I love it I think I bought it too big but just clean out the room faster. Love it, by the way, I’ve always had Honeywell for air cleaners in my home never any other brand. Oh, and by the way, this thing IS quiet my other one I had (air cleaner) on low it sounded like this one on turbo. But this one is way quieter. I love it./ UPDATE This thing turns off by itself after 48 hours for some reason - the auto came on by itself, but I never touched it too many doodads on this thing that I don’t even use so, since Honeywell likes making their products a lot less reliable I went to consumer reports and picked up the blue air, which was much better on reviews and reliability-, the reviews for Honeywell Was terrible stay away from Honeywell when I called customer service to see why that problem existed Honeywell told me it’s a different company that makes them and that I should call them. That’s what I said the hell with it and I I’m gonna do some more searching and that’s when I found the blue air air purifier. so Honeywell is back in the box and waiting for pick up. I don’t care what reviews are saying on Amazon - you need to check out Consumer reports and Honeywell does not do well at all. Go with BLUEAIR.
