8 yr old dog liked it right away. Fun to chase. Rechargeable is great. But once it falls over I have to get it. Size good. Sound off or on. Fun.

This is so cute. My dog barks at it. It does become annoying after a little while, playing the same tune but just don't have it on for a long time. It is well made and hard plastic. Also my 1 year old niece likes to play with it also.

About this for a puppy as an interactive toy. They were aAbout this for a puppy as an interactive toy. There were a couple things that we did not care about it when the material it was made out of the plastic, , if this toy fell over you had to trace it around and pick it up because it doesn’t lift itself back up. I didn’t like the crab claws on it. I was afraid that they might poke Sammy in the eye. I didn’t feel like it was a good value for the money so I sent it back for a refund.

It's OK but the problem is once your dog knocks it over you have to go pick it back up also it's made out of plastic and once your dog chews on it which they will it's done stops working. Disappointed really not what I thought it would be. Bottom line it's really a dangerous toy for your dog once it breaks the plastic could cut or get caught in your dogs mouth. This isn't really a dog toy. It's cute but that's about it.

Our dogs go bonkers for this toy and we have daily "crab time" to let them chase it. The noise doesn't frighten our dogs in the slightest and I feel the item description was very up front about noise and lights. The dachshund and great dane love to take turns trying to knock the crab over and it's fun to upright it somewhere new so they have to come find it. If you have a fearful dog like many of the other reviewers seem to, then this may not be the toy for them. If your dogs love a good chase, then this is awesome. For the durability comments - it has held up to multiple weeks of a 160 pound great dane trying to rip the claws off with her teeth and pushing on it with her paws and it has held up great. Yes, the toy does tip over when the dogs paw at it, but it's fun to play with the toy with the dogs and it's easy to upright and get back to the chase. If you are looking for a toy that means you can ignore your dog, don't get this. But if you like actively playing with your pup, this is a great purchase.

I purchased this product for my new puppy, who is full of energy and loses interest really quick. However, this product scared the crap out of her and for the rest of the night she would not come into the room where the product was. I had to put it on the table to get her in that room the next morning. So I would not purchase this for a puppy. But our three adult dogs love it. Because of the puppy we don’t use it and it sits on our table out of eye shot from the puppy. I’m trying to find a way to repurpose it and try to gift it to someone who has adult dogs only. All said, this is a sturdy product that withstood the bite impact of two adult Rottweilers and one adult rat terrier lol

I recently purchased the Crawling Crab Dog Toy with high hopes of providing my dogs with some interactive and entertaining playtime. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been less than satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my concerns.The primary issue lies in the noise level produced by this toy. The motorized crawling motion is accompanied by an excessively loud sound that seems to startle and frighten my dogs rather than engage them in play. Despite attempting to introduce the toy gradually and acclimate my pets to the noise, the result has been consistent anxiety and reluctance to interact with the Crawling Crab.The decibel level is significantly higher than anticipated, and the abrupt mechanical noises seem to trigger fear rather than curiosity in my dogs. As a pet owner, it's disheartening to witness their distress, and it raises concerns about the impact on their overall well-being.Additionally, the quality of the toy's construction leaves much to be desired. The Crawling Crab's movements, while intended to be lively and engaging, feel erratic and uncoordinated. This not only adds to the startling effect on my dogs but also raises questions about the long-term durability of the product.In terms of functionality, the Crawling Crab Dog Toy does crawl and move as described, but the trade-off in terms of noise and the adverse reaction from my pets make it impractical for use in our household.While I appreciate the concept of an interactive toy for dogs, the execution of the Crawling Crab has unfortunately missed the mark. If you have pets that are sensitive to loud sounds or easily frightened, I would strongly advise against purchasing this product. It's essential to prioritize your furry friends' comfort and happiness, and regrettably, this toy has fallen short in providing a positive and enjoyable play experience for my dogs.

Clearly it is not a toy made for dogs, BUT if you use it for supervised play, it is the source of much hilarity!! Our dog goes bonkers when we turn this on. It goes back and forth across the floor very well, along low pile carpet and tile, wood floors. The dog loves to chase it. This will be good exercise in the house during the winter when it's too cold to play outside. The obnoxious music is the only downfall. You can open it up and take out the speaker if you are somewhat tech-y. No matter what, supervise your dog when they play with this and don't let them chew on it. You will have hours of entertainment and so will your dog.
