Your cart is empty.The Hoof Boss Complete Hoof Care Set is designed for horse owners, veterinarians, zoo keepers and professional farriers among others who are more engaged with the animals’ hooves other than doing regular maintenance trimming and shoeing. The Trimming Set consists of the Electric, Plug-In version of the Hoof Boss and contains a mixture of different types of discs used for laminitis type issues such as sole abscesses, white line, and hoof wall cracks. The green “V” groove disc is used for hoof wall resections and prepping for hoof casts. The 4-tooth Cdisc removes hoof material in almond size slivers as thin as an eggshell, making it effective for the successfully treatment of foundered horses. The Red Dome Top Disc is used as a rasp to smooth and finish the hoof after trimming. The Orange Disc is a heavy grit disc used to remove excessive hoof material. The Black Cut-Off disc is used to cut nail heads off or outline the area for a resection. The Flap Disc Sanders can be used to buff the hoof in preparation for glue on boots. The Trimmer is ergonomically designed to help ease the wrist and hand pain associated with hoof trimming. The Trimmer is lightweight and easily operated with one hand. It has a powerful motor that provides a safe, fast, and smoother trimming experience.

I have drafts with hoof walls like rocks. Compound nippers barely helped get trimming done. I found the Hoof Boss on YouTube. It works well, and is easy to use. I thought it would be loud, but my shears are louder and the horses have no issues with it. It has turned an all day nightmare of hoof trimming into a couple of hours of time. I regret waiting as long as I did buy it. It has saved me a lot of hassle and time.

Tried to return this item due to uselessness for my purposes. Since I've had it in my possession for over 30 days and only tried it yesterday, unfortunately this expensive little paperweight is now mine forever. Very very unhappy with this purchase. I thought it would make trimming difficult hooves easier. **IT DOES NOT.**This thing is essentially a wood carving set. It's nothing special, and the safety switch is impossible to turn on with one hand, due to the sticky, cheap plastic switch that has been placed under the equally cheap-feeling aluminum paddle. The value for dollar spent is extremely poor.Very displeased with this purchase. My own fault I should have shopped better and tried it out sooner.
