Use the best to get the best results. i tried the simple green HD and a few others. Not the same...I have relied on Hornady products for decades. Never once have they let me down.

Great product, a little longer to deliver than most Amazon orders but good price, good product.

This solution smells like a combination of GooGone and Simple Green. It works extremely well for cleaning firearms' parts. Be aware that it has a 40:1 dilution ratio and can be re-used several times, so no need to buy too much of it all at once. My two bottles are likely a lifetime supply! Hornady delivers on its sonic cleaner and solution - parts come out like a clay bar'd car finish! I plan on using it for BCGs, barrels, guide rods and return springs. Love it!

This is a concentrated product with a 40:1 dilution recommended. Thus 1qt makes 40 qts (10 gallons)of working solution.I use this about every 4-5 gun cleanings (or for prior to storage of gun for a while) to get the deeper grit and deposits that are difficult to get at with swabs and such.USE distilled water (any drugstore about $1.50 a gallon)If your ultrasonic cleaner does not have a heater, warm the water to about 80C (~ 180F) before mixing. Clean until you do not see any more dirt removal. I use a basket to keep parts from the water bed, and I strain my solution through a coffee filter after use. I can get several cleanings before recharging or replacing the solution. I store filtered working solution in a plastic coffee can, as I also use ultrasonic cleaner and different solution for brass.Parts must be rinsed, dried and lubricated before re-assembly (the complete ultrasonic cleaning process is not faster than brush, swab and rod cleaning, but much more thorough)I'd recommend using a silicon wipe-down cloth afterwards and not storing gun in a non-plastic holster or cloth. My cleaner size is large enough to hold a S&W K frame revolver so I can clean complete gun (less grips) at once.I have not noticed any issues with the polymer frame materials used on my S&W, Ruger, Sig or Taurus frames. I would not expect any with Glock, HK or others BUT test first to be sure.Again - this is a water based cleaning process - SO rinse, dry and lube parts before re-assembly, paying special attention to friction points on slide. Thanks for reading.
