This unit does provide the basic functionality of being a small electric pot. The nonstick is good and it boils water fast. However, it feels like it may not last a long time. The sides do get very hot while it's cooking, and the plastic can be flexed by hand. It's very lightweight, almost too much so, as the slightest nudge to the thick cord can make it slide around. There is only one heat setting. The one thing this one does do better than another somewhat less cheap model I have is that the lid sits inside a lip so steam drains back into the pot and not down the sides.But if you need the most basic of basic pots with heating and steaming functionality, this will work. Just be careful about the hot sides and light weight.

Reviewing ZJRDYYK Hot Pot Electric with Steamer, We use this for cooking rice. It’s a good size for one or two people and doesn’t take up much space in the cabinet or on the counter. It works quickly and works well. The fact that it has overheat and dry protection makes me feel safer. It’s easy to clean and we haven’t had any issues with sticking. It’s a great price also. I just wish it was a little larger.

The only downside is the coding seems to come off this and your water ends up iridescent so you have to rinse it a few times before using it, but otherwise it is a nice little pot.
