Waste of money! One ripped right in half during installation. Don't buy!

I used this to add a tiny bit more cushion for my grips and hopefully absorb a few vibrations too. It looks good, seems made well enough, and probably does help with vibration a tiny amount. It was a pain to install but no more so than the much more expensive name brand versions. I was actually missing one of my original grips (I plan or replacing the entire handlebar next year) so this was a cost effective way to 'fix' that too.

I read a lot of complaints from people with no "how to" skills or common sense. Talking about these being junk, cheap, and tear easily? Just not true if you know what you are doing. I even made a YouTube video on how these take seconds to slide on if you use some common sense and know-how.Now, here's the trick, you fill a container with hot boiling water and submerge these grips into it and let them soak for about 5 minutes. I learned this trick years ago when installing hose protectors around the fittings of my primary regulator for my scuba gear. Right before you take them out of the water, one at a time, apply some soapy water to the existing grips, I used dish washing soap. The now "pliable" foam grips slide right on in about 5 seconds! Repeat the same for the other side. These are excellent grips with built in UV protection to make them last a long time and they feel great in the palms of your hands while riding. Again, don't pay attention or listen to the "mechanically challenged" people on here righting bad reviews. These are excellent and an incredible value for the money. You just have to use your head for something other than a hat rack.Would I purchase them again? YES!! But, only when these eventually wear out or just get too old.

Good product that help with tired hands, or vibration. It's difficult to slide in but a little bit of soapy water do the trick.

Good fit on Honda Shadow. Increases grip diameter for comfort. No instructions, took about 1 hour to install. The method I finally got to work was to wet the grip and then drive it on with my palm, you have to strike it so you seal the open end and force the air inside to expand the part that is already over the old grip. Tricky but it finally worked.

With a little soapy water these go on fairly easily. Although some suggested after I got them on, to use an air compressor with appropriate air nozzle or canned air to get them on. I hate the standard motorcycle grips and find the soft rubber of these to much much more comfortable. These replaced a previous pair that wore out. I am very pleased with the result. I did trim the end a bit so I could put the end cap back on. It could have been a cleaner cut but it looks ok.

For the price, I expected very little... yet I find myself impressed, regardless of the price. The thicker grips take a little getting used to, but I'm used to them now. YMMV if you have small hands or like small bars. The foam deadens vibes a bit, which I don't need on the VFR, but will probably appreciate when I buy a set for the Buell Thunderbolt (a Harley wrapped up in a sport tourer). One of my motorcycles had heated rubber-ish grips that were slowly turning to mush -- with almost 10 years of use and UV exposure, that's no surprise. I decided to try these grip covers as a temporary measure to bridge me to a convenient time to install new heated grips. While I may order a set o heated grips to keep on standby, I don't think I'll change them soon. These grip covers completely covered the sticky, decaying grips and they look as good as they feel. Heat comes through fine. it just takes a minute or so longer to reach similar levels.Installation was simple: 1.) lube up the outside of the existing grips with generous amounts of dish soap, 2.) lube up the inside of these grip covers with the same, 3.) slide the grip covers over the grips, 4.) clean up any spilled dish soap and wait for the remaining soap to dry. I slid these on right over the bar-end weights (the Throttlemeister taper might have helped ramp the grip cover up to the diameter of the grip) and they slid on pretty easily for the first half. The amount of effort increases as you get more of the grip cover over the grip (because: friction) and some of the Dawn dish soap got on the outside of the grips, so I had a shop rag handy to wrap around the grip cover for increased grip as I slid it all the way on. I don't think you can really use too much Dawn, and it costs pennies per ounce, so I went wild with it. I made for a little more cleanup than I probably needed to do, but it helped manage the friction.Notes:* My heated grips were just under 1.4" in diameter before I put the grips on. Now they are just under 1.75" in diameter.* The grip covers were about 3/4" too long for the grips, but I liked the beveled finish on both ends of the covers, so I pushed them on too far, then smoothed them back out by squeezing the outer end with my shop rag wrapped around them and pulling out to the dimension I wanted. There's enough 'give' in these to fit multiple diameters AND lengths.TL;DR - I bought these as a stop-gap solution to cover grips that I probably should have just replaced. I like them and will be buying a few different sets for some other scooters.

Put these on the stock grips on my 2013 H-D 883 sportster. They fit PERFECTLY, they stick to the grips very well and they feel awesome. My grips were too small for my hands and always make my hands hurt after a half hour or so. I wanted something to make them thicker and these worked perfect. I did have to trim them down an Inch but you can’t hardly tell they’ve been cut and I don’t care, they feel awesome! I’m probably going to buy another set next time I place an order on amazon to have as a backup. 👍
