I have a Huepar laser level and I read the reviews to see that laser level must be set to pulse mode for the receiver to work properly. This worked perfectly for our project. It was very accurate and helpful when bright light makes laser line difficult to see or when checking level without looking.

I used this to lay out a large deck foundation in bright sunlight. It is very precise and it wont pick up the laser outside of maybe an inch of the center. That might make it seem a little finicky to some users. It worked well at long distances where the laser was not visible.

I bought this laser detector for outdoor use. I would always have to wait until dusk to set lines outside. I didn't even know this was an option to buy. I thought this kind of setup would only be available in contractor grade tools. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this unit was compatible to the Huepar laser level I bought in 2020. Setup was as easy and installing the battery and clicking the on button. I recently used it mid day without a cloud in the sky. Marked 130 feet of fencing and checked with a spirit level and it was dead accurate. Combine this with a complatible Huepar 360 laser level , a grade stick, and a tripod and you can do what contractor set can do for a fifth of the price.

I bought an LR-6RG when I bought my SO4CG some years ago. I’m a diy’er. I’m now getting ready to level my foundation. The LR6RG doesn’t detect the laser I just bought a new LR-6RG to double check and the new one doesn’t work with the SO4CG either. You’ll have to spend a little more money. Get a Bosch or a Dewalt. This setup DOES NOT WORK even though huepar says my items work together. What a big disappointment

No matter how many times the manufacturer tells people that the laser unit must be in PULSE MODE for the receiver to work, some folks will ignore that and return a perfectly functioning unit. It must be exasperating for both Huepar and Amazon. I tested my unit from 60 feet away in full sun and it worked perfectly. It is easily accurate within a16th of an inch at that distance, the unit will alert if the laser line is even slightly off dead center of the detector. I’m using the Huepar LR-6RG detector with the Huepar ZK04CG 360 laser level and I recommend both.

I bought this to go with my laser level that I bought a couple years ago to build my deck. This year I decided to build a garage and I needed a transit level for the concrete pad forms. This thing is super accurate, you have to make sure you are holding it plumb and if your guide rod is off by a few degrees, it will yell at you. Once you are vertical, at 30 feet this thing gets you within 1/32 of an inch. Even the concrete guys were surprised how I did this without a $500 transit. Awesome value and great tool. Also, this fits in the laser level box from Huepar!

I read some of the reviews about this laser detector having issues. I made the decision to purchase it anyway. I wanted a set from the same company as my level and I figured that I could return it if it didn’t work. I used it about 30 minutes after the package came. I was working on a short but long black rock retaining wall which gave me a perfect opportunity to use it. The only issue I had was the tree that got in the way halfway down the wall where it extends a few feet into the yard to save my plum tree. It worked great and I had with no issues at all. I’ve used several detectors over the years and this one was easy to use compared to a couple of very expensive ones that constantly acted up. It’s a solid product at a good price point. The one thing I would have liked was either a case for the detector and it’s mount. Even better would be a space in the laser levels hard case for it. It’s a common accessory that is used with these levels all the time. It should be protected and stored together with the laser level.

After my Bosch laser level died I started looking for a new laser level. What was important was accuracy, size off the laser over 50’,and battery life. With the job fast approaching I decided on the Huepar 3D green beam Pulsing Line Laser with and sensor.Receiving it the day before the job started I turned it on at home and read the directions. Unfortunately the detector did not arrive with the laser. The next day at the job was a complete BUMMER as the line could not be seen past 4’ in bright sunlight! Checking my Amazon order I found the detector had been delivered to my home.DAY 2 at the job. My laborer with maybe an hour of working with the laser and detector was able to level and shim the piers for a 925 sq. ft. floor!!!The center beam for the floor is 38’, the diagonal of the floor a round 45’. The pluse sensor worked like a charm. The pulse laser with sensor was well worth the purchase!

I'm using this laser receiver with a Huepar 503CG three plane green laser which is actually a pretty good product for the price. But the Huepar receivers are not very good. The best receivers have a larger detection window which allows you to easily find the laser line and zero in on it. They also have adjustable line width or sensitivity. This receiver has neither which makes it extremely difficult to quickly detect the line and make small adjustments to your grade. It is nearly impossible to center the beam on the detector using the audibles and LEDs because the tiniest movement of your grade stick puts it above or below (keeping in mind you cannot see the beam at all during daylight beyond a few metres from the laser). Bosch, Stabila and PLS all have much better receivers, but they don't work with Huepar lasers. The Huepar receiver is very inexpensive, but it's only a good deal if it actually does what you need (which it does not). The laser is great for indoor projects where you can see the beams but using it outside with the receiver on a grade stick is just a frustration.
