I have to mount this over 2 garage doors away from the Hunter main unit. It's been working solid since. Really do like the fact it shows when it started to rain, and prevents the sprinklers from going on if we already had enough rain.

Easy to install. I wish it didn’t dry out so quickly even on the most closed setting. That being said it has saved me quite a bit of money

This device works perfectly and installation was easy. It’s nice to know that I no longer have to remember to turn my irrigation system off when rain is in the forecast.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of receiving a bad unit out of the box It happens occasionally. Jamie worked diligently to ensure the unit was defective and provided excellent customer support. Sprinkler Parts Wholesale promptly shipped a replacement after our troubleshooting confirmed the unit was DOA. I am 100% satisfied with the replacement product, the company I purchased the rain sensor from, and the customer support.My personal experience with rain sensors has always been good. These devices have sealed batteries and usually last for several years. This is my third one (the second one I broke with a ladder). It still worked, but the housing was destroyed.

1). First problem is seller included in the box a letter that states to contact them if there are any questions or problems and that they check their email every few hours. It’s now been days and I never got a response to an email to the seller. The first unit I received was defective, and Amazon did replace it.2). There is no way to control how much rain it takes to shut off your sprinkler system. I had a drizzle the other day of .03 (3/100th) inches of rain which is virtually nothing and turned off my sprinkler system for almost 48 hours. I know the .03 is correct because I have a very highly accurate rain gauge on my home.With The wired type of Hunter rain sensor you can control how much rain it takes to shut it off, but there is no control over that with this wireless device.

Recently upgraded to a new controller with Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity, and smart features to conserve water. This model replaced an older version of the same model that wasn’t working with the new controller. Make sure the controller is unplugged before installing. I set it up using the standard wiring configuration. The Blue/White wires go directly into the sensor terminals, and the two Yellow wires go into the power output terminals. Make sure you activate the sensor (if applicable) on your controller. In my case, I had to hold the rain delay button for 5 seconds. Wiring configurations are shown in the included manual.
