Great item and installed on my Honda snow blower.

May be fine for a walk behind. But didn't hold up on my riding lawn mower with a blower. As soon as the banks start to settle and get hard they bend easily.

Installation was really easy, they can be retracted easily. Installed in spring, so I haven't used it yet.My local Husqvarna shop didnt' have them, glad amazon did.

This is a well-made item. Solid. This was not designed for my Toro snowblower (bolt holes on auger drum do not match up), but I made it work. Drilled my own holes, used different hardware and its mounted. I expect it to last quite a while.

Great, solid, drift cutters that I installed on my John Deere snow thrower.These are thick steel that won’t bend or break.That they are slotted down the length of the blade means you don’t have to completely unscrew the hardware to put them in a storage position. Just loosen the included wing nuts and they slide down out of the way.On a note about the wing nuts loosening while using the machine even with included lock washers, put a flat washer underneath the lock washer. Super easy to attach to the snowblower. I do have to occasionally retighten the wing nuts that came with the kit because they gradually shake themselves loose. Not a big deal. Very happy with the purchase.

These drift cutters are less expensive than the Honda's...by about half, good and strong but the only small glitch.. is the Honda HS1332 has round holes cut out on the sides of the blower while the Husqvarna kit c/w carriage bolts.. the square part of the carriage bolt doesn't fit well into a round hold.. some small modification needed or like I did .. I installed them as is ... and the carriage bold heads sticks out by about 1/16 no big deal for me..

I bought this particular product because it was mentioned that it slide out of the way when not needed or when in the way. I installed on a Honda 1132 track drive blower and a 624 track drive blower. The only thing I changed was to get non carriage bolts. the square neck didn't allow them to sit flat. I imagine for the Husqvarna that they are originally designed for, they would be perfect. I had round holes only. I love the larger sized wing nuts. Would work well with gloves on. Perfect addition. Heavy duty quality product. would not hesitate to purchase again. Have not had enough snow yet to try them out, but now I can handled larger drifts.

Great addition to my John Deere 44" snow blower attachment for my D140 riding mower. The included bolts were a bit too large for the predrilled holes on the snow blower so I had to bore them out a bit with a drill bit. Took about 10 seconds a piece and now everything works perfectly.

Works wonderfully on my 26 inch yard machine blower and my 24 inch craftsman. Bars are very thick had much thinner bars that were stamped and folded steel didn't weigh half of what these beasts do. They're substantial should fit any blower with 2 square holes on each side of the auger housing. Haven't used these yet but the best deal I've seen on drift cutters. My biggest concern is the paint looks thin one the bottom of one of them so I will spray them with some anti rust paint may make them match the red blower the units are black not an issue but I'll also watch the bolts for rust if they do I'll replace with stainless steel for a couple of bucks. Highly recommended for anyone considering drift cutters pkg a little strange marked premium bagging blade.... But it makes sense to use what you would sell the most of these are at least as thick as mower blades. I've added stainless flat washers on the clutter before the lock washers it makes sliding the cutter effortless and saves the paint.

There are times when writing a review, I've found myself wishing for something more, like gold stars versus yellow; even 5 (yellow) stars doesn't do this product justice.First off, it took me longer to take it out of the box than it did to attach the two drift cutter blades. Hey, that's amazing with ANY product. A couple of points to clarify up-front:- The kit came with (2) Drift Cutter Blades, (4) Shoulder Bolts, (4) Wing Nuts, (4) Nylon Washers, (4) Lockwashers, and a single page instruction guide. Incidentally, the instruction guide is well written, easy to understand, and includes specific part numbers for every item in the kit should you need a replacement.- Though designed for the Husqvarna product line, I have a Troy-Bilt Vortex, and it fit PERFECTLY.- At the time of this review, the price ($16.95) can't be beat, not even by Troy-Bilt. Moreover, Troy-Bilt's product requires a wrench to adjust, where this product can be adjusted by hand...no tools required.- Other reviews have commented about either buying or home-fabricating nylon washers. Let me repeat what I've written above, in that this kit INCLUDES four nylon washers to prevent you from scratching up your snow blower while adjusting the cutters.- In my area we occasionally get drifts over the height of the snow blower, but only about 30% of the storms. But for the price, these are well worth it (as I remember cursing myself last year for not thinking this far ahead).Honestly, I was surprised on how sturdy the blades are. Those blades are thick and tough! I expected them to be a bit thinner and have a bit of flex to them (meaning I was expecting to bend them in the future), but after handling them, I'm not so sure.After installing the first blade I quickly recognized a really neat concept that I tested after attaching the second; you can adjust these blades WITH JUST ONE HAND! Yup, you can first loosen one wing nut, and after loosening the second, position the drift cutter blade to your desired height and tighten that wing nut. Then you can go back and tighten up the first. Piece of cake!I can't review how well they work, but I'd argue that this review can be helpful without that information (and I don't want the snow {wink}). If you know what drift cutters are and you've spent at least a minimal amount of time on YouTube looking at how they work, then testing their ability to cut snow isn't relevant, especially when there are so many variables (drift heights, ice-capped drifts, slushy drifts).Incidentally, the reference above to the fact that I installed this on a Troy-Bilt should not be underestimated. It's very important that the special shoulder bolts included with this kit match the square cut-out in the Troy-Bilt body, otherwise they either won't fit (won't seat properly) or won't work (will spin freely). The fit was perfect, though perhaps there is some corporate relationship between Husqvarna and Troy-Bilt that I'm not aware of that explains why these drift cutters fit so perfectly.If you purchase them, you *won't* be disappointed!*FIVE GOLD STARS*

Easily installed on my Cub Cadet 726SWE blower, I think they would fit most blowers as it looks like the mounting holes and spacing are standard on the blower frame. I like that they can be retracted/extended easily with the provided wing nuts. I thought I had misplaced some hardware and then noticed that other reviewers had noted that they were missing pieces, so maybe I didn't lose them! When I notified the sender of the missing pieces, they offered to replace the complete item, return for a refund, or credit my account for a portion of the total. Since I was able to buy some hardware, I elected to take a credit Bottom line, once installed, they worked great for the several feed of snow we had this past winter in New England and the seller was very prompt and courteous in rectifying the missing parts.

This is a nice product. I like the design that makes it easy to slide the drift cutters back when not needed. The part fits my Ariens fine. The price is much better that I would pay locally. The product lost a star for missing hardware, two shoulder bolts and one lock washer were not in the bag.
