A blower motor resistor is the electric component that controls your vehicle HVAC system’s fan speed. Usually it is mounted underneath the dash on the passenger side of the vehicle, If your car’s HVAC system is not working properly, it could be due to a faulty blower motor resistor. If it fails, your system may only work on certain speeds or not at all. At this time, you need to replace a new resistor to get your air conditioning system working again

Blower Motor Resistor Location
- In most modern vehicles, the blower motor resistor or control module is located inside the vehicle behind the passenger side of the dashboard. It is installed inside one of the ducts of the HVAC system, close to the blower motor.
- Therefore, we suggest that you also replace the blower while replacing the resistor.

So far it’s been a few months and it’s fine. Only time will tell but most of these only last about a year unless you get an actual brand name one. Not a huge deal either way IMO. Quick and easy to replace anyways.

Fit right in my truck and now my fan has more then one speed. What else can i say. It a component that fail in my truck and this was the fix. After i replaced the blower motor and found out that wasn't the main problem. Live and learn. At least now i can stay cool at more the just one speed.

This is a 2nd aftermarket replacement from a different seller for my 2006 2500 5.9. Will see how long this one will last compared to the other one.
