This product does not work! Plug it in, and nothing! No lit display-nothing! The Box states "2 year warranty", but your site says no returns after 1/31/25. I purchased in December 13th 2024, and installed it indoors yesterday((Feb 11th) to feed fish. I'm still hoping your company honors the advertised two year warranty, and replaces it with a unit that actually works! I will rate this product again after hopefully positive customer service-item replacement with a working unit.

I purchased this when I went on vacation. I attempted to make it raccoon proof by installing it on a 2x6 board above the pond and wrapped it in chicken wire. Came back to the board in the water along with the feeder. It still worked after being partially submerged but the food was mush. Great idea but not needs some thought if you have raccoons. Maybe if the keypad was protected from tiny little paws and had a post that could be driven in the ground. My pond has a natural border with no place to screw the feeder's base into.

The 2 biggest points are the large storage bin and the fact it is connected to the mains, so no flat batteries to worry about. Worth every penny

I bought this for an outdoor installation, to feed the fish in our pond while we were out of town.To me, installation was straight-forward and simple, including screwing to a wooden plant extending beyond the edge of the pond in an effort to frustrate the local raccoons.Programming did have a bit of a learning curve but, once learned, seemed very logical and straight-forward. I just did it again for the first time in several weeks and it came back naturally. After about a week of experimentation with the large-, and small-small sized spiral inserts and various feeding schedules, we had things set up to feed the fish an acceptable amount on each of the 16 days we would be away. The fish were happy and so were we.Now the problem. The controller box mounts onto two pegs that feed into keyhole slots in the back of the controller box. This trades security for ease of lifting the controller off the pegs to make programming easier. Normally that would be a good thing; gravity works, holding the box in place. However, when we were out of town, something knocked the controller unit onto the ground; my guess would be a raccoon. It then rained, a lot, filling the controller box with water and destroying it.While there was no product defect until this happened, so arguably not their fault, Hygger's customer service department did not argue about getting me a replacement part for a modest price, and quickly. So, this is overall a great product, and I have no problem giving it 5 stars in light of the very excellent customer service.BUT, if you are planning to mount this outside, and have animals or anything else that might knock the controller box off its mounting pegs, I would suggest that you find a way to prevent that. My current solution involves some thin bungee cords that hold the box tightly to the post with the mounting tabs and make it at least very difficult to lift of the tabs, without obstructing the programming buttons.

I wanted something that would feed my fish while I was gone on vacation and would retain its programming so I didn't have to start from scratch every time I needed to use it. Otherwise, I will keep feeding them myself. Since I needed a temporary mount, I screwed it onto the end of a piece of fence board and when I put it next to the pond, I put a couple of Adirondack chairs on the end of the board and it's very stable. Programming is easy there's a good YouTube video on how to do it. I don't know how, and for how long, but it actually retained the time of day when I unplugged it and then plugged it in again. My only complaint was that while I was gone, it rained very hard, the end of the spout got wet and the food got caught in a little dam at the end of the spout. So, I think I'm going to cut the end of the spout at a 45° angle so it's harder for rain to get in. I put a big screw high up in the wall in my garage and drilled a hole in the end of the board and I hang the feeder in the garage when not in use. I highly recommend this feeder.

Works well, large hopper, easy install if you have something to anchor it to. Programming is cumbersome but for the price I can live with it. You have to play with it to get the amount of food it will dispense just right. I would recommend this product.

Received today after the item being shipped from the Global Store - you would have thought someone would check to see that its suitable for use on UK power sockets but no, - good old Amazon don't care - ship it anyway! When I tried to resolve it was just "send it back"! That's the economy we live in - never mind your electric Trucks Amazon - what about trying to reduce wasted journeys first!

Although we have only had this product for less than a month, we are quite satisfied thus far. It is definitely designed for larger ponds with more than only a few fish. If you have a small pond with only a few fish, you would need a smaller unit. The lowest setting for a single portion still provides quite a bit of food for a single feeding. Due to the size of this unit, you likely wouldn’t want it sitting beside a small pond anyways. We have 32 fish (a mix of Koi and goldfish) in our pond and this unit works perfect for us. This product would be capable of feeding a large pond with A LOT of fish (based on the available settings for portion size and frequency of feeding). As long as it lasts us a few years, there is great value here.

Works dependably. Looks fine in our garden setting. February 25, 2025 I have seen a number of questions about this device from Amazon since our purchase. We purchased this in April 2021 to feed our koi fish while away from 7 days to 5 months at a time. We live in a semi rural area in the southwest U.S. The feeder is located in the back yard next to our pond and has remained in place outdoors since April 2021. When not in use it is unplugged. The power cord and control box can be easily removed from the device and stored. The settings and time are stored in the brain in control box and accurately come back on as soon as the control box is plugged in, even after several months, The device is made of heavy plastic and aluminum tubing. Our feeder has been exposed outdoors to115 F and cold to 25 F, snow, ice, high winds, and violent rainstorms both while unplugged and on. It has proven to be completely waterproof. The plastic materials have not warped, become brittle or shown any cracks. The device has remained unscathed by attacks by birds, packrats and raccoons to open the food container. Packrats have chewed on the power cord several times superficially. These damage areas were wrapped with electrical tape. The food delivery volumes have remained constant. The food container volume is sufficient to feed our 20 mature koi for 1 week. The food volume delivered is determined by which of 2 screw drive tubes that come with the device you install in the device, the number of turns of the drive and the number of feedings per day. Programming the device is pretty easy. Time, feeding time, number of turns of the screw drive and number and times of feedings per day are easily set and remain in the memory when on or unplugged for months. The device can be set to deliver considerably more or less food per day than we programed. This device has proven to be better than we expected.
