This is a nicely made and well certified carabiner that I'll be using during deer hunting season to rappel with when saddle hunting on a climbing rope. The surfaces are all nice and smooth so I don't expect that there will be any issues with premature wear of my climbing rope when used in this manner.

In general I prefer a screw lock, but for a twist lock this is a very high quality carabiner. Also ProClimb is not just another random Amazon company. They are a legit climbing and safety equipment company that is sold by many different dealers. So you can trust and believe that their ratings and certifications are real. Therefore this is a true climbing rated carabiner at 27kN. I've only used it so far for some high limb trimming in a few trees around my property. It performed perfectly and I felt completely safe at all times. The spring locking gate is quite smooth, doesn't catch or hang up, and is easily one hand operational. There's not much else that can be said other than it's well built, works great, and looks great. It's just simply a high quality professional grade carabiner. I'm very happy with it and absolutely would recommend it.I also like the orange anodized gate, because as we all know... orange is the bestest color ever!

This is a tough carabiner that you wont have to worry about failing. I use this with my climbing gear and it has performed exactly as I would have hoped.

After the wind ripped apart the shade sail support I had, I wanted a strong replacement with a quick release and this ProClimb I-Beamer Carabiner worked well for the purpose. It is easy to open, but will not open accidentally or under pressure. The quick release works well for us to take down the sail when a bad storm or winter approaches. It came with the papers/certifications to use it for climbing and it certified and tested. But I doubt I will be using it for this purpose. However the certifications made me confident the carabiner will handle the stress on the sail from the wind during a storm.

What I like:- Sturdy construction- Good spring on the twist lock mechanism- Aluminum construction, so lighter than it looksWhat I don't like:- Only a twist lockThis is a very capable carabiner. Whether corralling cables in the garden shed, or hanging from the side of a tricky 5.11 wall this twist-lock is definitely rated for the job. This is much more rugged than the carabiner clips used to hook a water bottle on a backpack. It is ANSI Z133 rated, meaning it can withstand a 5000lbs load along its longest axis without deforming and blocking function, and requires two or more deliberate actions to unlock (twist, push open). The construction is solid, and very pleasing in the hand. There are no rough edges, and the lopsided D shape is smooth with nothing to catch or snag a rope unintentionally. The spring loaded twist lock mechanism operates smoothly and is easy to use. My only complaint with it is that I am used to climbing with three step carabiners (slide, twist, push) and so my muscle memory gets confused trying to open it.Light on weight but still fully functional. Easy to carry and use. This is a great addition to any rope bag if you just need a twist lock. 5 out of 5 stars.

Many times climbing gear on amazon comes with no certifications or anything. This did come with some paperwork stating it meets the carabiner requirements of NFPA 1983, standard on life safety rope and equipment for emergency services, 2017 edition. The carabiner, made of aluminum, makes it lightweight. The lock opens smoothly and everything is nicely rounded. The lock is textured and easy to operate. It is however only a twist lock and I prefer the triple lock.

ProClimb's Carabiner is very nicely made from high quality materials. It is generously sized, but not heavy. The locking sleeve is large, easy to grip, and locks smoothly and automatically. All in all... a fine carabiner.

I bought the I-Beamer Carabiners in the Mod D Twist Lock NFPA Only version for my job as a volunteer firefighter. These carabiners are made to meet the standards set by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).The key difference between the NFPA version and a climbing version is their intended use and the testing standards they must pass. NFPA carabiners are tested to withstand the conditions and demands of firefighting and rescue work. They undergo more rigorous testing, including higher static loads and stricter requirements for gate function and corrosion resistance compared to climbing carabiners. The I-Beamer Mod D Twist Lock NFPA carabiners are made of aluminum and have a twist-lock gate, which adds security and helps prevent accidental opening. The twist-lock is easy to use, even when wearing gloves, which is important in emergency situations. It's important to note that NFPA carabiners are not designed or certified for recreational climbing or mountaineering. Climbing carabiners are tested to different standards and are usually lighter to reduce weight for climbers.I'm happy with the I-Beamer Mod D Twist Lock NFPA carabiners. They seem sturdy and dependable, and the twist-lock gate provides added assurance when using them in critical situations. If you need a carabiner specifically designed for firefighting or rescue work, these are a good option to consider.
