I was skeptical about the images I had seen posted from others where their photos had came out extremely cool on the Kelvin scale- almost appearing to be photos of Neptune rather than of the sun. However, this was a simple fix in PhotoShop. I was in Mena, AR for the eclipse back in April of this year and was very fortunate to have almost completely clear skies for the celestial event. The images I captured, (several hundred of them) were all tack sharp. The only challenge I had was keeping up with my camera settings at the moment of totality. That was all on me, not on the filter.Extremely pleased with the results and have already sold two 13x19 prints of the eclipse. That more than quadrupled what I paid for the filter so now, I can say it not just a good but it was a great investment!

This is a very good filter. I used it to capture images of the sun, and the results were very impressive. I can't wait for the next eclipse to test it to its full potential!

I bought this to photograph the total eclipse of 2024. It worked just like it should. Probably never use it again so I didn't want to spend any more than I had to. Got some great photos with it.

Unlike past solar filters I've used, this renders the sun white. People expect the sun to look "orange" as this is the common color cast the earth's atmosphere applies to it, particularly when low on the horizon. That said, it's a bit more work to add an orange cast in post, but a doable workaround.I had no problem mounting this to my 77mm thread size EF 100-400mm Canon lens for the 8 April 2024 eclipse event, and it threaded smoothly on and off.

This filter worked great for the April 8th, 2024 Solar Eclipse. The white balance of this filter is more to the white side. Which is very easily adjusted in post. But overall very pleased with the quality of this lens.For the attached picture l was using my Nikon D500 with a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG with a 2.0x teleconverter @ 1/250 F11 ISO 200.

I purchased this filter to photograph the eclipse. It worked perfectly. It has almost no other uses other than taking pictures of the sun or other bright objects, meaning it is so dark that you cannot see through it with your naked eye. It basically protects the sensor on your camera from extra bright light sources. The quality of this filter is great. It has standard threads for screwing it on to a lens.

Good filter for the price & does the job of filtering out the sun. Took some images of the sun. More of a 'white' overall than orange...that was a bit disappointing but I can 'orange' it up in Photochop.

In getting ready for the solar eclipse, I first purchased the film from another company and cut and sandwhiched it between two UV filters. The color of the sun was orange and I liked it, but it was not sharp at all and required a slower shutter because it was so dark, which caused other problems.I bought this to try and it was so much easier and the photo quality was also so much better. The only downside was the sun was white and not orange. This was easily adjusted in Lightroom with the color grading panel. Now in post, I can choose whether to use the white or orange and either way, the photo will be crisp and sharp.
