With any of ICON’s color options you can know they are UV-protected. White, Clear or any of the Smoke options have material that is protected. Nothing is worse than having a nice viewport become hazy, yellowed and less aesthetically pleasing due to UV damage.

Nobody wants to have a vacation cut short due to a very vital component such as your skylight failing. Skylights are not only exposed to sunlight and UV, but they can also be subject to intense weather, hail, tree branches and other such impacts. This is why ICON uses a THICK polycarbonate material that results in domes that have unmatched impact resistance.
Beyond material, important design considerations have been made to improve the durability of ICON skylights. Simple, but meaningful trimming is done to prevent flange lifting and to create an effective surface to seal to the RV roof. Pre-drilled holes are provided on the flange for most models. These holes are enlarged to allow for expansion and contraction at the mechanical fastening point.

The quick and easy install of ICON Skylight domes begins with a hassle-free setup process. First, prepare your roof surface by removing the old or damaged skylight, ensuring a clean and smooth base for the new dome. Then, apply the specially formulated ICON Skylight sealant generously around the opening where the skylight flange will rest. This sealant not only creates a watertight bond but also simplifies the installation, allowing for easy adjustments. Next, carefully position the dome over the prepared opening, and secure it in place using the screws.

I got the smoke version to replace on a Tiffin Phaeton. The product is good but it is way more clear than the original. Looks like I put a clear one on but it was definitely tinted. Actually too clear for my liking and may look into some kind of spray tint maybe.I’ll add a photo if I can later how clear it is. Unfortunately it rained so it’s obscured and picture wouldn’t help.

Had a tree branch fall on my RV and crack my skylight over the shower. Could not find at any RV supply store. Found on Amazon and had within a couple of days. Found the install kit also.

Worth every penny!I was on the fence about the necessity of a skylight but it is absolutely wonderful. A million times better than the yucky plastic emergency exit.It brings in so mich more light.And with the additional few inches I can raise my hands above my head for doing yoga! & it's lovely in the rain plus super easy to install!!I kinda wish I bought a second one!

Thick and sturdy polycarbonate, yet was flexible enough to follow the slight curvature of the RV roof. I installed over a closed-cell foam rubber gasket to ensure a leak-proof, air-tight seal (first picture), then applied self-leveling lap sealant around perimeter and a dollop on top of each screw head. It is also an excellently clear skylight (see third picture looking up through skylight from inside the RV to see trees and sky). This last picture also shows off the interior skylight trim available from the same manufacturer (ICON).

My 2013 forest river rockwood a-frame trailer has this same 26" x 26" size skylight window. It was broken when my daughter snuck up and sat on the skylight. The Icon is much thicker and sturdier than the original and would not have broken under the same circumstances.There are a few differences with this and the original. The tint on the original is much deeper and not see thru like the Icon smoke. The original does not have screw holes and is glued directly onto the fiberglass. The original has square edges the icon has rounded edges. I glued the replacement on with lap sealant and no screws because I did not want to put screws through the fiberglass roof.The only complaints I have is that the icon didn't have a no screw hole option and the flange is not perfectly flat without the use of screwing it down (which i did not do)
