REPLACEMENT IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE
- The IAC is to provide additional air to the engine through the air valve when the engine starts at a low temperature to maintain the engine runs at idle speed steadily, allowing the engine to warm up quickly after starting, thereby shortening the warm-up time.
- When the idle control valve fails it can cause all sorts of issues with the vehicle, such as idles erratically and surges and in some cases may even render it undrivable.

Pefect fit, works great. No more error code and double beeps. Engine now idles correctly and doesn't stall when I throttle back.

My 2003 5.0 Mercruiser would not run at idle, at all. We were across the lake and it wouldn't even start. I had to trick it to get it back home. A new OEM IAC valve will cost you $150 or more. It took about 10 minutes to install this part, the motor starts right up at idle and runs very smoothly. Seriously considering getting another to have on hand in the boat although this is the first time I've had this problem,

Cost me a bucket of $$ to have the marina mechanic diagnose the brand new IAC I installed was the culprit of my boat not idling junk do not buy!!!!

The price was right and was good quality but i put into my merc cruiser 5.0 mpi. It eliminated the alarm sounds but the boat would not idle less than 2000 rpm’s. I took it off it was slightly different than the original. Had to spend 170.00 at the merc cruiser dealer and that piece did the trick. This piece is probably perfect for a car but not merc cruiser that i have

This was advised to work on my 2014 4.3 mercruiser. It did not work. It is different inside than the marine part.
