Working great on my 2000 f150 5.4 Harley D. Old ones were brittle and worn out. Some even broke apart upon removing. These new coils look good in red and perform well. So far so good.

The reason for me taking the risk of purchasing these low cost ignition coils is:>> seller/manufacturer appears to provide quality support and replaces faulty units - customer support!>> most of the reviews citing failures appear related to other issues that I have scoured F150 forums and manufacturer updates for answers on.These points I will cover here.Although the reviews here are mixed, there is a recurring pattern in the reviews vs the information I was able to research on each subject.I purchased these for a 2002 Ford F150 5.4 V8.Installation was somewhat challenging, mostly due to the layout of the components of the engine I was working with, nothing to do with the product.>First Trip + fuel efficiency:After the install, I went through the mountains in BC, 1500km. No issues, very smooth and good power output. Claims and reports of fuel efficiency did not apply in my experience. No change beyond what it should be, which is fine. But this is a v8 5.4. Not expecting anything here.>Fitment:These fit a 2002 F150 5.4 just fine. Some people have complained that the boot lip is too small and exposes the well to dirt and debris. Not true. Yes the lip is smaller, but it does seal the well slightly below the top. You need to push them in firmly and get the boot lip below the well top. No issues.>Spark plug/ignition coil blowout reports:This is not due to these coils. This an issue with certain engines - such as the Triton v8 5.4 - having a lot of power and the original spark plug torque settings Ford listed were incorrect. This was noted in 2017 by Ford and corrected for certain engines, such as mine. For a 2002 F150 5.4 (and associated models) you need to increase torque on your plugs to 28ft/lbs, not 14. It has been suggested to go higher even on my engine type as the block metal can tolerate up to 80 without stripping threads and will prevent any blowouts. I cranked my new plugs tightly over at 33, just to be sure.>Coil failure due to cheap boot+coil:Due to cheap boot+coil, failure occurs and misfires continue.I examined the boot+coil, and they were completely dry, no coating or treatment as some Ford forums discussed as to why some misfires begin to occur. It was advised to treat properly with dielectric grease.I took apart all boots and coils, treated the coils and the inside of the boots fully with dielectric grease. This was noted in various channels as a preventative measure and observed to resolve many future misfires and failures.

Highly recommend to anyone who own the 4.6L.... We own a 07' Lincoln TownCar Signature series, and these work flawlessly....arrived on time & installed all 8 in about 30 minutes...took her out for a drive & all my issues I was having previously before the new coils, all went away!!!! And she runs FLAWLESSLY AGAIN....THANKS!!! Can't beat the price, and was extremely skeptical about ordering coils off of Amazon, but these are by far and so far showing that for the price, changing the game as far as good value parts....orielly's wanted $32.00 a piece for house brand coils.....glad I purchased these and would recommend these to anyone needing coils for a 4.6L.....God bless and have ease of mind, these are a very good buy 👍 👍 👍!!!!

***UPDATE 10/31/20***Bought these in April, installed in May or June with new Motorcraft plugs. Worked fine initially but had a different issue that caused me to park the truck for several months until I could fix and drive it again. Started driving it again in September, so these coils only have about 1500 miles on them and three months of actual drive time. One of them failed this past week, causing my AC to stop working and the truck to shake and misfire terribly. Got it home and replaced with an old coil, fixed it immediately. I expect them all to start failing soon based on this experience. My fault for going cheap, but had been lucky in the past with Amazon coils. Not this time. Try a different brand if you want longevity.***Just installed on my ‘02 F250 with 5.4L. Perfect fit, prompt delivery, and the red tops make the motor pop (in terms of visual appearance.) You can replace these without removing the fuel rails, but at only two bolts per side, you’ll expend much more time andeffort working around them than just lifting them out of the way. If you’ve never done this job, be very careful with your mounting screws. They are easily lost behind the motor if you drop them, especially the rear two. New screws are not included with these coils so you’ll need to use your old ones or order a new set. I just put them in today and it fixed my misfire. The last set I ordered at this price point (from a different company) lasted almost four years until #3 gave out. I expect these to be similar, but will update if they fail unreasonably quickly. I’m highly satisfied at this point.

So far so good! I don't like that ontrac lost my package, than called and stated it was in Reno.Recently did a tune up in my 98 Expedition, replaced all coils with Napa OEM and Motorcraft copper plugs. Still had a very small idle miss. At 150k, figured it was just this dinosaur of a designed motor. After installing, I instantly noticed at idle the miss was gone! Compared to OEM, these fit perfectly, seem to fit in the well even better with a snugger bite on the plug. I've even gained another MPG. (probably due to small miss, didn't even throw cel) definitely impressed with workmanship build on this product so far. For the price, definitely cannot beat it, seeing as the cost of 8 from brave is equal to ONE OEM at Napa.Update: one died....And they have sent another free of charge!

I have 2000 Ford F-150 Sport with a 5.4 liter triton V8 engine with 175,000 miles. They say that you should never have to replace your ignition coils at they are functioning properly. I say, when you do a tuneup with as many miles as me and you’re still running the original ignition coils, it’s time for change lol. When I pulled the original ignition coils out of my engine, the boots were very brittle and worn out. Now you can go to AutoZone or O’Reilly auto parts and buy new boots and springs. But I chose to buy brand new ignition coils considering they are 4799 apiec when I pulled the original ignition coils out of my engine, the boots were very brittle and worn out. Now you can go to AutoZone or O’Reilly auto parts and buy new boots and springs. But I chose to buy brand new ignition coils considering they are $47.99 a piece at these parts houses. So I bought all eight of these Bravex coils for much cheaper. These coils not only gave me more power than the ones I had before, but they are built very well and I am getting exceptional gas mileage and a very smooth running engine. I HIGHLY recommend these coils!
