Having just completed a dedicated home theater with the equipment on the other wide of a wall, I needed some type of IR extender to be able to communicate with our Denon receiver and any other equipment I'll be adding from a theater seat. This product fit the bill perfectly.I installed one of the two IR receivers that come with this by routing the attached wire through the theater wall into the equipment room, and disguising the receiver by hiding it in a metal film reel metal wall hanging. It's barely noticeable, and will receive the Denon remote signal from anywhere in the theater. Inside the equipment room, I ran a dedicated hardwire connection from an IR output into the Denon's back panel remote input jack. It works perfectly, with no need to stick one of the supplied transmitters over top of the IR sensor.I'll be adding a 4k blu ray player and over-the-air TV receiver shortly, and there are plenty of outputs to communicate with them. I'm currently using a ROKU 4k streaming box for streaming channels, and since it uses an RF remote, it communicates through the wall without any help. The retailer for the IR extender provides a 2-year warranty once the product is registered, which we've already tested. Unfortunately, an "infant mortality" issue of some description caused the box to fail within just under a week. I contacted the retailer and I received a replacement within 2 days! It's currently running fine at this point. You can't get better service than that! I'm rating the product 5 stars since 1) it does a great job extending IR signals and has multiple inputs and outputs, and 2) even with a failure, which happens, I lost only a few days thanks to the retailer's great support.Hopefully this new box will continue to function for the longer term. If not, I'll update this review. But at this point, I can recommend certainly this product.

It's a pleasure to be able to be another person giving this product a 5 star rating. It fills my need to make remotely controlling a device in a cabinet easy.Zero hassle. No tweaking or fine adjustments needed.Things like my cable set-top-box that needed to have the remote pointed EXACTLY or you haveto try again now respond to controls BOUNCED off the wall or ceiling. It just works and works well. Get one ! You'll be delighted.

The unit works great. I like having two receivers as it makes it easier to place for good reception. Would like the receiver cords to be a little longer to get from my TV to the control box. Had trouble with one of the receivers sticking as when I tried to remove the paper pad cover the whole pad came off, so had to separate the paper cover from the pad and reapply it to the receiver. Does not stick very well.

Without the visual feedback from the receiver (an LED flash) when a signal is received, it is hard to know why this might not be working, beyond the obvious result that it is controlling whatever you want to get the signal. But, the LED flash is a really reassuring signal that your remote is working (it might have low batteries) and that the signal is getting to the receiver. With two receivers I chose locations some distance apart and this too is a useful feature. It is easy to see which of the receivers is "seeing" my signal. And then, after all this, it works and the transmitters (in my case on my home theater receiver somewhat hidden) get the signal through and it ALL WORKS!

If you attach the emitters with some decent double stick or use a zip tie block to fix them in place, then it becomes useable. Too bad they cheaped out on the double stick... would have been 5 stars if they hadn't.

I used this to allow my A/V receiver and blu/ray player to be installed in a rack in the closet behind my wall mounted TV and speakers. I used a 3.5mm keystone module and 4 strand wire in the wall between the tv and closet. I mounted the IR receiver to top front of my TV and plugged into the 3.5mm keystone module. In the closet, I connected a 1/8" 3.5mm cable between the keystone module and one of the receiver ports on the module. Then ran an emitter to each device per the instructions. Works like a charm.Things I learned: *IR receiver must be mounted on vertical surface for optimum signal reception. Tried mounting horizontally (top of center channel speaker), and while I could see the red light, range of where remote could be picked up was very limited. *I could not mix pieces of this system with an old Russound IR kit was used in my home previously. Couldn't find replacement IR receivers and emitters, so tried using these with the Russound, but to no avail. Didn't need IR control from other rooms in the house anymore, just thought their controller might be of superior quality. Just scrapped the Russound and used this.Low price, easy install, would buy again.

Leads to infrared sensors are thin and somewhat fragile, I think. I haven't used any other extenders, so these are probably normal. I have an old 570 watt Karaoke machine, which in my opinion is arguably has better sound than affordable receivers. The machine is quite large and did not look good with my other system components. Since I only wanted to use the amplifier portion of the machine, I moved to the other side of the wall. This unit worked flawlessly. I had to buy longer cords to accommodate the move. Standard 3.5 MM 25 feet audio cords worked great. The extender is mounted on the back of the TV.

The sensor for the IR is very weak. I had to be within a few feet for it to pick up the ir from my remote. It has to be directly pointed at the sensor to even work and not off to the side or anything. Kind of hard to see it in a home theater room blacked out.

Good quality and working fine with AV and DVR systems. Using additional mono cables to connect to the back of av systems (IR, IN in AV systems). If the manufacturer can include mono cables as well in pkg, that will be good.
