Spend the money for solar! No more fishing this out of the pool to change batteries. I have had several battery powered versions and this one is so much better! My only issue is the display is hard to read inside. It is small and all the info other than pool temp are way too small to read. The light should stay on but have not found a way to keep it on. This has a much longer range than others I have tried. It can be on the far side of my pool and still register with the display...love that! It has lots of bells and whistles, like the guide for the temp and swimability.

This is an excellent thermometer for the pool. The set up was very easy and the unit even connects to the internet so you can check your pool temp remotely over wifi. Well designed and works great.

This is such a great, innovative idea for pool owners.I love having the ability to check the temperature of my pool without going outside to fumble with a thermometer. We haven't had the chance to test it in the pool as the weather has been unseasonably cold in our state but it has kept track of the indoor temp while we wait for the weather to warm up. That's a great sign.Highly recommend this to pool owners!

This arrived very well packaged. I had an earlier version of this thermometer and it worked very well until it became waterlogged after around two months. This model works very well, as did the earlier one. But this has more capabilities, such as working with wifi and through an app with your smartphone. I'm not connecting to my wifi and phone because I try to limit how much I do with my phone. You may find this useful. I discovered that the trick to keeping these alive, and I've done it with cheaper thermometers than this one, is to place it in a large sandwich bag in the pool. Keep it out of direct sunlight as much as possible, so tying it to a relatively shady edge of the pool would be smart. And if you do those two things, this thermometer should last multiple seasons. I am taking off one star, even though I really like this thermometer, because the company needs to do better at keeping these units from becoming waterlogged. But overall, a very good, sturdy and data packed pool thermometer. And for around fifty-six dollars with the current coupon, a good value for money.

I have had these for years and in the TX sun I typically have to replace a cheap product with another cheap product. However, this unit seems to be more likely to last longer, but only time will tell. I love the accessibility via Smartphone and also a bluetooth/wifi option for the pad in the house. I am excited about this product because it's a lot more than what I have used before and hoping it can survive the TX climate changes.
