Nice unit. Sealed up to prevent leaks. Display nice and clear. Easy set up. Did not give 5 stars because I cant believe they did not put a photo cell to turn the light function on/off. So if you turn on the light you csn only set the timer and it will turn back on in 24 hours. Photo cell would help. also would like an app for my phone. Buttons are sensitive so be sure to lock the unit to avoid settings being changed. Now to see how long it functions.

I want to love it, but a critical issue persists. Range is fine, as is the light and temperature function. As you can see I even mounted the receiver. The biggest problem is that the pool thermometer can't hold a charge. I've had it for two days. When I first received it, I charged it using the USB port, which is nicely water tight. It lasted the day. However since then, it cannot recharge enough to last a day, even in complete sunlight here in Florida! It might be the solar cell that is bad, I have no idea and no way to contact the seller [if your reading this contact me] Here you can see I took a picture of the panel and the battery is dead, yet the pool thermometer is outside in full sun. I'd hate to return it, but I see no other solutions. The company listed is unknown and there is no way to contact anyone.UPDATE: I gave it another day. This time a full day in the direct Florida sun with no additional functions, to see if the battery will charge off the solar cell. No dice. I can take another picture, but what's the point it looks exactly the same, dead. Also, still no response from the vendor.

I'm getting very frustrated with this device. I f you use the light up setting be prepared to bring it in the house every day to charge it. Our pool is in sun all day long and this thing does not hold a charge well. The temperature reading seems to be accurate but that's about it. The wireless range is terrible. As soon as I bring it inside and plug it in (about 50 feet from the pool) it loses its connection. I have to run the inside sensor on batteries so I can keep it just inside the patio door--not convenient at all. I don't think any of these last more than a year in the Florida weather but at least other ones reached our TV room. If you buy one keep the lighted bottom OFF or you will regret it. Also, don't use to much pressure on the three buttons. They only need a very light tap.

The Likiyol 2025 Upgraded Floating Wireless Pool Thermometer is such a convenient way to monitor and tell the temperature in our pool. When our pool is open for the summer my kids are always asking what the temperature in the pool is, now they just have to look at the screen from inside the house, this alone makes this thing so worth it!I've seen other ones similar to this in the past but the float for inside the pool always needed batteries, which just seemed like a hassle. This one is charged solar which is nice not having to worry with batteries or how long they will last, and one of the main reasons I ordered. Our pool is not currently open to swim just yet but I still went ahead and set this all up. It is very accurate, I compared the temperature of this to the regular thermometer we stick in the pool to see the temperature and they were just about the same.The LED screen was easy to set up and I like all the information that it provides, including the inside temperature of the house. It is easy to read and looks modern and clean sitting on the counter. The range for the float to the screen is just fine, even if I would decide to move the screen to another area in the house the 330ft range would cover wherever I moved it.If you have a pool, a hot tub, or a pond that you want to monitor the water temperature this is such a convenient gadget to have and it is hassle free and basically plug in and go.I recommend.
