I obviously am not going to take one of these out and use one of them for a review because I want to save them for when I actually need them. But from the packaging they seemed heavy and good quality. Very nice to have on hand during hurricanes! It says they last 5 years, so I do plan to put them in front of all my doors during hurricanes and store them for the next one! Based on the instructions, once they get wet, even just from rain, they are not reusable. So I guess that is one drawback. These would also be good to divert water from going to a certain area too.I will report back this summer after I use them!

I had a large walk-in closet installed in my bedroom that was expanded into part of the laundry room. The sump pump is located in a back corner of the laundry room. The floor was sloped on purpose to allow gravity to pull the water back to the drain hole; however, if it ever fails it will not be able to push the water and will flood. These recently happened to some friends with their sump pump, and it started me to worry. I ordered this to put around the edges of the wall between the closet and the sump pump. After reading the comprehensive instructions and seeing the quality of the bags, I have never felt so confident in a product. Their confidence is my confidence. I plan to order more for my back patio where I did have flooding in the house once when the drain got clogged. These bags are insurance - I never want to need them, but the peace of mind is so comforting.

These are basically snake shaped tubes that have those expanding water beads on them. They take on water and expand and create a barrier so that water does not come through. We use these during rainy season behind one of our gutters because the way the gutter runs, it sends some water backwards and it goes too close to our foundation. These expand and keep the water moving away. Then when it gets warm out and they dry out, you can just store them inside. We like these sizes because they are large enough to put where we need, but are not too big or bulky to move. If you have any areas that don't drain the best, but you can't change the slope of because it's cement, these are a big help to guide the water to the correct drainage area.

We live in the South along the coast and occasionally are subjected to flooding and hurricanes. Our home is on a crawlspace, but our garage is not. Also, our one garage door is "slightly ajar." I got five at 5' length which should protect both of our garage doors. The directions are comprehensive, covering preparation, placement and re-use. According to the package, they are environmentally-friendly, as they "undergo natural degradationwithout imposing and environmental pollution." The packaging, for storage is about 8.5"x11" and 3-4" thick. I just store the entire package next to our generator for convenience. Hopefully I will never need to find out how well these work, but they are there if we need them.

On occasion we get some heavy rainfall which will slightly infiltrate my basement and also float over onto the bricks outside and upstairs in front of my deck. I'm glad this came with multiple bags so I can address both areas, and they do seem to work well, which really does give me some peace of mind. They also look like they belong, so they're actually attractive, at least as far as landscaping goes, and at least from my personal perspective. I think they're just a slight bit costly, but not terribly so. Even so, they get my recommendation!

I got the 5-pack of the 3 foot tubes to go across the bottom edge of my patio. My apartment is on ground level and I put up a large screen up to keep bugs out but there was still a small open space along the bottom which also allowed water to come in during heavy rains. So I thought these would take care of both problems. So far there hasn’t been any torrential rains for me to see if any water gets by but I think they will work great because of how they reacted when I first activated them in my bath tub. They were easy to get going but keep in mind, they are heavy once activated! I had to drag them by towel from my bathroom to my patio. I plan on keeping them in place permanently so we will see how they hold up as I’m not sure how long they will last. But so far I’m pleased and would recommend them!

These bags appear to be well constructed. They even have a wedge shape on one side when they are deployed. This enhances the ability to stack them. The instructions are especially complete. They don't leave anything out, including how to dry and reuse the bags. This grouping of five at 3-feet each is especially adaptable places like a bulkhead doorway which is a frequent problem area for me. They can also be used as a protective barrier around something like an oil burner. The short length makes it easier to surround items without a need to bend the bags. I will make an update to this review in case I have to deploy the bags. Note: both sides of the full instruction sheet is included in the accoupling photos. They should answer any questions you might have.

We live in an area when we get sudden thunderstorm that cause minor flooding within hours. My house is built on a high foundation, but my shop is not and the rain runs downhill right through the bay door. My shop has been flooded about a dozen times since I moved here and I'm hoping that these will aid in solving that problem until I can come up with a better solution.Pros: These bags are made with a felt-like material, that feels super absorbent. The instruction say that you should wet them down if your are preparing for flood so they can begin to take shape. I didn't see anything about these being reusable, so I'm assuming they are one time use. That being said I'm not going to waste one to test it. I will have my chance soon enough in the spring rain. The dimension are as advertised, and the stitching looks pretty solid. I am repacking the one I took out of the bag with desiccant packets to keep them dry.Cons: This was a multi-pack. I wish they would individually wrap each one so if you only need one, you can keep the others dry and fresh.
