The unit leaked from the first day we installed it. We thought it would go away, but it didn't. We have a tub under the unit which has to be drained every day. Don't buy this unit.

Bought as replacement for one I thought was bad. Turns out it's ok. So, will just keep this on as back up.

As the other person answered a question stated, after about 4 yrs (end of warranty), the plate that holds the swiveling hammers can’t be stainless and rusted to the point that water going through it slows and clogs. Thus we are now turning it on just to force water to flow through it.Notice that the description says the swivel hammers and grinding ring are stainless. But not stating that the center plate that spins is included in the stainless claim.Otherwise, we’ve been happy. But I bought what I thought was a better model that should last longer and should not have iron parts in contact with water, STAINLESS! should be stainless through out.
