The magnetic back, the turn off feature when you close it, the reminder chart on the front of what the meat needs to be tempt at, the speed in which it actually tells you the temp.. I know they advertised all these features but geez! This is light-years from the analog basic kind that I had to put in freezing water so I can make sure it's reading correctly. I love this!

These meat thermometers are fantastic. They are magnetic so i can easily find them on my stove and my grill. Great deal = pricing wise and I am happy with the quality. Bonus - you get 2!

I ordered two of these, one for my wife to use inside, and one for me to use while grilling and smoking outside. The 2-pack even came in two different colors so we know which one belongs to whom. These guys are WAY better quality than the one I was replacing. Very well made and sturdy, quite easy to use, and I really like the feature that allows you to lock in the temp with one press of a button and then remove the thermometer from the high heat area and read it without danger of getting burned. I am very impressed!!

Probe folds, display goes off and comes on when you unfold it. Display is large and has a manual light switch, so is well thought out. The 2 units in the package differed by about 0.7 deg F out of the box, which while within specification, well, I'm just greedy. After calibrating both at 32 deg F, they read in the range of 210 deg F in boiling water, with a difference of about 0.4 deg. I know, I know, that won't have any real effect on cooking, but as I say, I'm greedy.

Here's a short review of my experiences with this thermometer. Its well built, easily fits in your pocket. The thermometer turns on automatically when you fold out the probe and turns off again when you fold the probe back in again. (Smart design there)The back side is magnetic so you can just stick it to a metal part of your grill when cooking and its ready to use. The backlite button is easy to press if you are in a low light scenario. The probe is VERY sharp and easy to press into beef, fish, whatever. The temp reading is almost instant. Not more than 1 to 2 seconds for a good read. It comes in a 2 pack and it comes with 2 spare batteries in separate wrapping. I hope it holds up but so far I'm VERY happy with this handy device.

This product has been as good as advertised. It folds into itself for compact storage, which is nice, and I really like that the display will cut itself off after a period of inactivity even if it is fully extended.The thermometer point is sharp and I have been able to get a reading on even thinly and thickly sliced food.The display is large and easy to read and gives an option to switch from C or F.The product came nicely packaged and the added bonus of a second thermometer makes this a really great deal!Overall, very pleased with my purchase.
