Your typical foam insulation. Works well. Nothing fancy or crazy about it, just foam tubes. Worked perfect on 3/4" pex. Would not hesitate to get more when I need it. Loved the larger bundle of them. Even larger quantity bundles would be even better. Nobody needs just 6 pieces or just 12. If your going to insulate pipes, most people have much more pipe than that, otherwise a good insulation at a fair price

Used these foam pipe covers to insulate some exposed pipes in our basement and outside. The 1-inch size was perfect for our pipes. They were easy to cut and install, and they fit snugly. They've helped keep the pipes from freezing during the recent cold snap. Comes in a pack of 12, which was more than enough for our needs. Happy with how they performed.

I got the insulation for 3/4" pipe and these fit perfectly. They wrap nicely and hold tight on the pipe. Comparing them to other foam pipe insulation that I have and noticing that they are slightly thinner in diameter.

For whatever reason pipe insulation prices have been sky high for years. So from a budget perspective, these are a good deal. They are pretty thin though - thinner than the typical box store pipe insulation. But again, they are pretty cheap, so may be worth it anyway.

These are excellent foam tubes for protecting pipes from freezing. Pool noodles are not a good substitute. Reasons these are better than pool noodles: 1) they are already slit down the long side. 2) they are shaped to go around the pipe with an appropriate size cavity for the pipe to nest inside the tube. 3) they are easy to install on the pipes and are easily cut to size. Note: These are the perfect size for our PVC pipes, but if your pipes are 2" metal pipes, they won't be large enough.

As others have posted these are super thin, like a quarter inch at most. Very soft and pliable though. I wanted them for my hot water but due to the thinness will put on the cold side and pick up some thicker ones at the local big box store.

These foam covers are pretty basic, and may not be quite what you would find at your local big-box building supply store, but they work. They don't have adhesive coated splits, so you'll have to use some type of tape to keep them closed. They're one meter long, rather than six feet, so you may need to tape more joints, also. This pack of 24 will cover about 79 feet of tubing. The foam these are made from is not exceptionally dense, but should do the job. This is made for 1" diameter tubing. Be sure the tubing you plan to cover isn't any larger, or you will have gaps. Iron (steel) pipe diameters are actually larger than their noted size. I actually plan to use these on 3/4" copper water tubing, but will be attaching anti-freeze heating tape to it. Using this larger inside diameter cover will give me the space to easily close it up over both pipe and wiring without gaps.
