got these for my 21/12 ft rectangular bestway pool, which had only one heater mat shipped with it. After adding 3 mats from the set the pool heats up to be very warm - 5 stars there. However at the end of the season one mat got pin sized hole by itself (and we were were careful with it, so I am pretty sure it was not caused by external force). At the beginning of second season then I installed these back - they already had 3 leaks like this - patched them right away. In about 1 month of usage during second season - one of mats bust on the buttom, which was not visible from outside, so third of my pool got drained down to intake valve and water pump broken because it was running dry for a whileso it is cheap and efficient alternative to other expensive mats, but quality is not the best for sure

Absolutely garbage in the durability department. I've had mine (6 in total) hooked up for less than 24hrs...1 popped and sprung a leak, 3 are bulging and probably not far behind. Flow rate is well below the recommended limit for the 6 hookups - which is a whole other product dissatisfaction problem, getting extremely reduced outward flow into the pool. While these do seem to do a decent job with warming up the water, the rest of the problems that they create are not worth it in my opinion.Hoses - way too short (especially for the connections you need to make to the pool/pump)Connections - very prone to leaksQuality - garbageDurability - garbageGood in theory, garbage in reality/execution - recommend to go with an alternative solution.

1/2 hose on primary intex pump/filter needs to decrease to 1/4 for these mats, then intex doesn't make an adequate connector for the size conversion. Reduced water flow too. Cannot leave these hooked up and run filter cycle, as the water pressure is greatly reduced because of hose size difference. Piss poor design, zero forethought on water flow. One mat sprung a leak at the molded seam right after turning on.

The setup went fine. The hose clamps are plastic but surprisingly worked fine. I got 6 total to run in sequence. Even though they advertise as being rated up to 2500 gallons per hour, this is very incorrect. I feel like it could have worked but my pump is too big and now I have to send everything back. If you have a large pool, these will likely not be able to stand up to the task.

In 2 weeks all 3 solar heat mats ripped in same place. The last mat rip last night, pouring out a quarter of the water in the pool. Save your money and buy another brand. I have not given a review in several years, but this product should be remove from market by Intex and fixed.Thanks

I really love my solar Matt's unfortunately when I bought three one had a pinhole I sent it back they were great they gave me another one but then another one blew up and made a big tear so now I only have two but they work fine the company was great they sent me another one no questions asked thank you very much for your great customer service

I ordered these (3 pack) in March so I’d be ready at the beginning of pool season. I opened the pool on June 6 with these solar heaters. One blew a hole within 5 days, a second one blew out yesterday. I called the company and the “warranty” is only good for 30 days from the date of purchase. Glad to have donated so much money to this worthless company and product. If you can’t stand behind your product, make a better product. POS.

It makes a several degree difference in water temp for our pool. This makes the difference between enjoying and enduring an outdoor pool in Wisconsin. There are some tiny leaks where the units join together but not enough to cause a significant loss of water.
