Its a good tool, however we must bear in mind that the maximum clamping thickness is smaller than we might expect, approx. 2-3 inches .

I do a lot of welding and fabrication. I had a collection of these Vice Grip clamps from decades ago when they were made by the Vice Grip company in the USA. I needed a few more but was hesitant to buy these, now made by Irwin in China. But need overcame fear and I bought three to qualify for free shipping. They have a different finish than the originals but appear to be the same design and quality. So far I'm happy with them. Time will tell if they hold up to continued use. My old ones are still going strong after 40+ years.

There's a reason Vice-Grip has been in the majority of handymans toolbox's... They just flat-out deliver a quality product with a Century of History , (OK as of 2023, 99 years)... Thru wartime and peacetime they've been there. In 2008 manufacturing has moved to China, they still provide a great locking pliers. With a quality feel. I wholeheartedly recommend these locking pliers. I apologize for the history lesson... Some may find it interesting 😉 🙄 .

For what I need these for, perfect.. These are fit nicely in my mitts, at 6 inch’s, but I’m certain you can get a pretty good pinch on the better half’s arse too!

I’m in HVAC and these work as great for all of my purposes. The only reason I’m giving 4/5 five stars is because I think they need a medium size ring on the threaded bolt so that you can tighten them with my drift pin/ screwdriver once clamped onto something. Milwaukee has the right idea but the ring should be bigger

These clamps are great for a variety of clamping needs. Small and light, they are exceptionally strong, and very durable. They can clamp any material up to 2" thick, and are quick release, and can reclamp the same thickness without having to reset the thickness. Perfect for the machinist or the woodworker. I have used the larger ones for years with nothing but complete satisfaction, and know i will receive the same great performance from these. Non marring with the self adjusting swivel pads, ... they work great!

These work great as companions to the . You want a nice firm grip between the jig and the wood you're drilling. These get the job done in a small package (any larger and they become ungainly to work with for this purpose). They look to be well-made, and have held up over the past few months.
